Well Germany has the stongest ecomony and a biggest population in Europe it should be the #1 market for home consoles sales and software sales but that honor belongs to the UK.  Like I said before piracy is very popular in Germany and I know first hand I was born and raised there and lived there until 1988 and pretty much everyone I knew was into priating software even the people that had more then enough money to buy all of their games.

The UK will overtake Germany in 2030 as Europe's largest economy:

The article is just stupid.

A break up of the Euro would be horrible for Germany.

And taxes are pretty similar, somes are lower, somes are higher.

Would it? In the past it really helped Germany, but now its becoming a headache for them. Greece, Ireland, Portugal and all the other countries that are/ could default on their debt are mainly being resued by Germany.

Well the PC market being big in Germany isn't really good for gaming since the majority of PC gamers in Germany pirate their PC games instead of buying them legally.  Just looking at weekly software sales in Germany you can tell that most people pirate their PC games otherwise PC games would be at the top spot of software sales on a weekly basis.

It's both higher stock (at least in the US) and lower demand. We will see that when the numbers are updated.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

I went to a store recently - I live in the UK - and there was literally a stack of Xbox's (about half as many as in episteme's picture) whilst there wasn't a PS4 in sight, so I think demand for the PlayStation is a lot higher. Microsoft lost a lot of goodwill with their E3 reveal, mine included as I switched from Xbox to PlayStation.
