Wouldn't care for the deal, not a fan of Apple and could only mean the worst for Sony fans. They would have to jump ship or deal with way worse policies that would come from apple.

Sony isn't quite a Zombie firm, it does have a lot of debt... and one of the things Abenomics plans to do is to let zombie firms fail by allowing lending rates to increase. If this hits before Sony hits year round profitability that could greatly increase costs. Sony is very much a gamble right now.

Doubt it... What would they do with it???? Start making an OS for other platform than there own??? Sure LL windows PC and phones or android tablet and phone... Start making cameras and sound systems???
google even mole is completely different...,google is doing way more stuff than apple... Heck even MS is involved in more fields than apple...
if anything I'd see Samsung, Panasonic or LG Philips buy them before apple even starts thinking about it...

Apple has nothing to gain but a financial burden from buying Sony. Sony can gain market share, but doesn't know how to do so and be profitable at the same time.

I really hope that Apple purchases Sony because i know that they will ruin the PlayStation brand, and then we will finally get rid of the PlayStation Fanboys which are the worst anoying gamers in the world!!!

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030
Being taken over would be good for Sony, but not by Apple, MS, Nintendo, Samsung, LG or Google. It should be bought by some Japanese giant not inside gaming yet, if not marginally, to have maximum interest in managing PS brand at its best, and with a consumer electronics division not well known as Sony, or not in the same market segment, that could benefit from making it its mid-high-end and luxury brand.
