I think the next Fable can be ten million + selling game if Lionhead take these steps:
The game world
-More diverse game world (Fable 3 was good at this except for the fact it wasn’t fun to go back to some parts after you been there for the story mode)
-Erie game world with spooky sounds
-Bigger and more detailed world
-Allow character to save anywhere in the game and start from that location (fable 2 and fable 3 already have this)
-Keep the good voice acting but improve on it, make random people on the streets more creative than they are in fable 2/3
-Destructible environments
-More meaningful collectables (what’s the point of collecting everything in Fable 2/3 if all it gives you is an achievement?) Collectables should give you weapons or abilities.
-They should add a new feature called inventions. You discover items in the game and combine them and bring it to someone in the game. The item gets invented and you start seeing towns use them. For example, you invent a light bulb and towns all around Albion start using lights.
The hero
-Allow customization of your character but also have auto morphing like fable 3
-A good/bad system that works better in less obvious ways
-Have a level system 1-100. You can level up in other people’s games too
-Limit interactions between your hero and street people. I say just have 5 interactions and have a talk button and a give current item button. No need to waste time building the game around interacting with random people. Nobody really wants it.
The Game Play
-Have a menu place similar to Fable 3, but I would like it to be an actual place you can walk to inside the game not just when you hit menu button. Allow players to customize it too with furniture and stuff
-4 player co-op (this will be in Fable Legends)
-More than 50 weapons make the weapons easier to get. Combination weapons like dead rising would be cool
-At least 10 spells
-Fun mini-games (maybe a fishing contest or horse race?) We need mini-games that are unique that’ll keep us playing. Not like that bad guitar hero that was in Fable 3.
-Keep regenerating health but allow character to die, have many auto-save checkpoints
-Potions that are optional (you have regenerating health after all)
-Transportation vehicles steam cars, trains, boats, horse and carriage
-The story can go multiple ways depending on how you progress
-No HUD
-Limited Kinect usage
-Keep talking walls those are cool
-More wild life
-Boss fights that are good
-A large variety of enemies ranging from small to huge
-Show us enemies we have never seen before as well at the old ones. Surprise us for once!
-Keep the game simple with a little more strategy in it than the other Fable games. Think outside the box. Maybe stealth/flying/guns blazin’/gather an army/snipe the leader kind of missions. Not just hack and slash with spells.
The DLC
-Only release DLC if it’s very large. Nobody is going to pay 10 dollars to get a couple costumes. If I pay money I expect at least a couple hours of game play, new towns, new items, new vehicles, 10+ missions extra, more mini-games etc.
The overall Game Performance
-No loading screens between different sections
-Realistic textures like Fable 3
-At least 720p with 60FPS
-More enemies on Screen
-Less glitches than the previous two games
-Quicker join/leave other peoples’ games
-Less pop in (I don’t think that’s a big problem with Fable though)
-Larger draw distance
The Game Itself
-Offer the game on a disk, not just online (that’s what Lionhead talked about) Nobody will buy the game if it’s just on the marketplace
-Market the game as if it's the next Halo, Gears, or GTA
-Dedicated Bundles
-Release around the Holiday
-Release Fable Anniversary on Xbox One at the same time as the Xbox 360 version to build a Fable fanbase on the Xbox One
