Xbox One is outshipping, but doesn't mean they're selling well.  There's so many in stock because no one wants one.  Or atleast that's my belief until we see the NPD.

2 million in 18 days says otherwise about there being no demand. If you want SP games go PS4 and if you want MP go X1. Same as it was last gen.

The fabled "we pay $50 a year for XBL so it's better" comment.  Good thing that the infrastructure between Sony and Microsoft's online networks aren't so different that the experience you'll get is based on the games netcode.

Want an example?  Just Google Persona 4 Arena lag.  You'll see pages upon pages of the game having lag on the 360 and getting a patch to resolve the issue.  Sure there's going to be lag on fighting games, but not when you and your opponent have great connections, which was an issue for the 360 version.  There was almost constant lag before the patch.  PS3 with the worse online didn't have this problem.

I was speaking more of the focus of exclusives between the two. Sony has never been known for pumping out first party MP games, but MS has mainly focused on doing MP games. Not to mention free dedicated servers for devs on X1 helps.

sony hasnt been focused on MP, so Killzone and Resistance, werent MP focused? i beg to differ, also the MP on uncharted was fun, but just because Sony doesnt want to drown thier game linup with Shooters and rather have some story driven games and some variety is a good thing.

What?  LBP, Uncharted, The Last of Us, Killzone, Resistance, Ratchet and Clank, White Knight Chronicles(servers shut down,) Warhawk, Starhawk, Twisted Metal(even though it took six months for the online to work properly,) Gran Turismo, and MLB The Show.

LBP was designed with up to four player co op in mind, but also designed where single player will work.  The community section that allows players to create other levels and also play co op with up to four players unless it's limited by the level creator.

While the quests are still available on the game disc and available offline, half of White Knight Chronicles 2 is pretty much its online portion.  White Knight Chronicles 2 had thousands of daily players, and while that's not a huge number, it is for a niche title.  The servers have since been shut down, but all of the quests and Geotowns were available for online.  Each player had their own email and there were two forums, one for the entire community and another for each guild, all of which were accessed through the game itself.  The online pretty much turned the game into an MMO with no monthly fees.

MLB The Show has a specific mode that's online only called the Diamond Dynasty.  You manage your teams, perform trades, etc, and get more budget depending on how well you perform.  A similar mode is offline as well, this particular one is online only.

Warhawk and Starhawk were designed to be online only games.  Starhawk has a single player mode which is pretty much a short tutorial.

The Twisted Metal franchise is one of the best multiplayer experiences in video games.  All games are playable offline, but for online the PS2 had Twisted Metal Black Online, the PSP had Twisted Metal Head On, and now there's Twisted Metal for the PS3.  If not for  the horrible netcode that wouldn't allow people to get into matches at all, the game would probably have a pretty large community behind it.  Unfortunately there are now only a couple hundred people in the community, many of them that play nothing but this game and destroy even intermediate players.

The rest are self explanatory.

Far more variety in online games compared to the 360 exclusives.

I bought my PS4 via walking into Best Buy at around noon. It was pretty much unexpected, but I saw it there in the PS4 section, I looked around to see if anyone was gonna get it, since there were a lot of people in Electronics and boom, it was mine. But I've seen more Xbox One's in stock longer. Yesterday, Target had 6 of them and the place was packed with people and they paid no mind. Went again today and they were gone. Even Wii U was sold out for both BestBuy and Target. There were plenty of 3DS and Vitas though.

I own a PS3 and I can tell you Warhawk/Starhawk/Uncharted were not very populated in MP outside of the first couple weeks. You can find more players in Halo3 5 years later online than those 3 games combined at launch.

he should have been more clear- good multiplayer games, or at least one that has a decent population of people playing past the first week.

Your prior statement was that Sony games are single player experiences while Xbox 360 games were multiplayer experiences, not whether the games are largely populated.  Also what d oes it matter whether there are 50,000 or a million people on Uncharted 3 at one time?  I wouldn't care if there was 1000 daily players as long as I get into a game quick.

I can attest to this. MS is outshipping Sony in the US (or at least at my work).

We received a ton of XBO 2 weeks ago, maybe a bit over 50. In the last 2 weeks we have recieved 2 batches of PS4s that only equal to about 30.

We still have XBO's wasting space in our store tho, at least 25 of them still sitting there. Every PS4 we get selling in just a few hours, let alone some being left for the next day.
