Dead Rising 3 looks better than this.

"Unfortunately, that brings us to another disappointment; Crytek's stated commitment to "real-time, all the time" goes unrealised in Ryse with the move to pre-rendered cut-scenes. This is a common technique employed in many last-generation games that helps move the narrative forward while concealing loading, but we can't help feel disappointment in missing the opportunity to see these scenes play out in real-time. Of course, Crytek has claimed to use the same basic model rigging for all characters both in and out of cut-scenes. The more significant issue with this approach to storytelling lies with the video compression. With both next-gen consoles supporting large optical disc formats it's disappointing that higher-quality video compression wasn't selected. Ryse doesn't seem to be alone either, with a number of other next-generation titles suffering from the very same issue. We only hope that developers will reconsider their approach to pre-recorded content in the future."

Lame. Why are we using cut-scenes to show how great the game looks then?
Still easily impressed as ever I see. Shitty QTE moments are the reasons why I laughed so hard at and hated the end of MGS4 BTW. I blame RE4 for making it popular in shitty ways again.

That last video, I think shows perfectly what is wrong with Ryse. Why the hell is that sequence even "playable"? It's a 3 minute QTE sequence, that always plays and looks the same, where you seemingly (looking at other videos from the same sequence) can't even move the camera and where you don't have to press one button since the executions happen anyway, you can literally just press forward and the sequence will play itself, right? The only thing impressive about that part, is how someone seriously thought it was a good idea to put that in the game, that is really impressively stupid.
Didn't see anything as impressive/epic as anything in the first 15 minutes of God of War III (or any GoW for that matter). Thanks for the videos (which showed barely any gameplay btw, and what gameplay they showed was atrocious, like a stuttering broken record) now I know I'm not missing anything at all.

im sure you mean it looks better on that shelf of yours, just waiting for an xbox one to play it, right?

Good graphics, avg animations, avg gameplay... the videos shows why the reviewers didn't like the game.
