Forums - Sony - So, how often do you use the PS4 share button ?

Cant wait to upload videos to youtube and twitch has archiving, there are some incredible crazy moments to share with the world lol.

You know, sharing videos has been available on Xbox 360 and PS3 forever--not perfect recordings but accurate enough replays to get the job done. My first experiences with this came from Burnout Revenge back in 2007 and Super Street Fighter 4 and you know what? The shit got old really quick. No idea why Xbox One and PS4 are making a big deal about it. Do people really want to watch other people play games?

*edit* Just to be clear, aside from the DVR functions, I'm not 100% sure what the PS4 and Xbox One's sharing capabilities really are.

Never. I don't have a PS4.

I would never ever use it. Its such a pointless feature.

I imagine a lot of people will use it on future RPGs like Dragon Age: Inquisition or the next Elder Scrolls, simply based on how on many forums people will post pictures of their custom protagonists.  I mean, I personally take screenshots occasionally while playing games on Steam, so sharing isn't really that strange to me.

No more. The restrictions on it need to be lifted. I want to record at any length and at what interval. The main dumb problem is unable to transfer the files to my PC. The itnerface is dumb too. You ahve to go to storage and then hit the option menu. The share button should be a app on the home screen. Also controling the res, bitrate, audio etc. would be a nice bonus.

Every single day so that when these inevitable threads pop up i can say i use it every day

Never, I honestly have not even thought about doing it either.

I also forgot about competitive fighting games, which I'm guessing will get a lot of sharing interactions.

yes ? just go to twitch and see for yourself.

I used Twitch a few times to see what PS4 and Xbox One games looked like in motion on my TV and I go on youtube sometimes but that's about it.  I wouldn't want to use my console to watch other people play games I can play or anything.  Only if I get stuck in a game and need a hand.  That's just me, though.
