I have yet to play the 2nd but I really enjoyed LBP1, Media Molecule is a pretty talented studio.

OT LBP 2 is a great game no doubt. I can't understand why it didn't do as well as LBP, though I believe a lot of people preferred the level design of LBP.

I think the reason it didnt do as well was simply that people didnt see the reason to get a new LBP. While LBP2 did improve a lot over the first, none of it was really revolutionary and a clear step above the first game (lots of other game sequels are also blamed for this). Also, the created levels werent any different with LBP2 over LBP.

There is a DRAMATIC difference between LBP and LBP2, ESPECIALLY in the created levels department.

LBP1 was restricted to platforming levels and games, where LBP2...you can make anything with a little work.  Even First Person Shooters.

No doubt that game is going to be fun! 

The 3D engine it works with is cool, and some of the creation tools are great as well...but it doesnt seem like it has much in the way of a Logic System, like LBP2 has. 

(For instance, you cant just create a blob of goo and make it fly and shoot lazers at dragons you created out of cardboard) 

Spark has more Akin with LBP1 than 2, not that that is a bad thing :)

Very interested to see how that turns out. Will it be LBP Universe? Maybe with huge Open World concept as well as 2D plane.

Great series that I enjoyed and even really liked the Karting spin off (my view it goes Mario, Sonic, Crash and LBP that have made decent Kart games).
