The game looks amazing. I don't get why SM3DW didn't look this nice.

I think they could do better than 3D World, but to be perfectly fair, it is a very pretty game, better looking in many ways than Galaxy. It's just a slightly different art stlye, is all. The colors and shades on 3D World are just simpler, more cartoonish. But it's still a great looking game.

I love the lighting in the game, although I haven't seen too much of it, since I don't own it (have played it though). I just think that the art style MK uses looks amazing compared to earlier games in the franchise, and 3D world dissapointed a bit.

Trust me, 3D World looks much better on a TV than on the internet; without the image compression that comes with youtube and such, its remarkably vibrant and polished, and the locked 60fps is sexy as fuck.

That's not to diminish Kart 8, however, which from what we've seen looks damn fine. Personally I'll wait until I've tried both on my own TV before I call which is the graphical superior.

I've seen and played both games first hand, and can definitely say MK8 looks better as it's much more detailed, but I still really like the way 3D World looked.

After E3 I would have said (and did say) that Kart spanked 3D World graphically, but after the polish 3D World recieved between then and launch, and seeing it on my own TV in all its glory, I'm unsure. XD

It does in this case, as people are more likely to take the word from one who is sure over one who is unsure!

But anywhos, I didn't catch any Retro tracks in this trailer, unless that dessert looking one is Dry Dry Dessert, but the time of day is different so I don't think it is. I'm just antsy to see whether or not Daisy Hills made it in!

I don't need other people to validate my opinions. :p

I'd expect this to have 16 new tracks and 16 retro, like MKWii.

I played both at E3 and found Mario 3D World to look better, but I'm a sucker for cleaner image quality, MK8 was a bit more jaggy. It is the best looking Mario Kart game though (as one would expect).

Bayonetta 2 > Mario 3D World > Mario Kart 8 were IMO the best looking Nintendo games at their booth in that order.
