Forums - PC - Update: Day Z (alpha version) sells 800k in 18 days

Anybody have the game and want to play with me?

Keep getting shot at and now I'm scared.

Around the Network

Just don't wanna create a new thread for this. Is there a chance that the Alpha will be on sale while Winter Sale?

I've heard they are adding vehicles and animals in the near future ...

What I don't like right now is that the zombies are more rare than vehicles and high end weapons were in the mod version.
Also the teleport bug I've seen seem to drive people nuts.

I don't own the standalone (yet), but I've watched some streams and videos and I liked it, but the more or less missing zombies, no vehicles and no animals is a slight let down if you have played the mod version.
But still will get it soon.

Sold 800.000 since this thread..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

I personally think that it's a glitchfest clusterfuck at the moment, mod is still far far superior, and I died because two of my friends climbed the same ladder, these type of glitches suck dick, it's alpha I know, but c'mon something elementary such as that, and considering he had 18 months is just ludicrous, one of the laziest developers in history.

And I'm one of them.

Great improvements so far actually, it has gone back to being the challenging and tense game it used to be when the mod first released.

Do you know when it will be ready for proper release?

Last news from the Devs is that it will come out of Alpha and into Beta late 2014.

Its a hell of a long time until full release, but i would rather they take their time and deliver on their full vision than release a half finished buggy game which will drive potential fans away

The lack of zombies is only due to the way they are slowly incrementing the Alpha.

Due to the unoptimised engine at the moment zombies do not respawn until a server restarts, which means the world is quickly rid of most if not all zombies. Once respawning is implemented.

Also, more animals and hunting is being introduced at the end of january

You have no right to be angry at the devs.

There is a huge warning on the steam page warning you that the game is buggy, and to not purchase it if you are not wiling to put up with this.

great to hear ... I loved the mod version and I'm pretty sure the standalone will be great too.

Can't wait to get my hands on it. Maybe after the january patch is included.

Yes but when standalone comes out so late, there is a small expectation that it will at least be a tenth of the game that the mod currently is. Am not even sure if they've even bothered patching the vehicles yet as I haven't checked it in a while.

And who the fuck is angry?
