So many YT Nintendo fans bashed me for saying One would sell more than U in the early weeks of 2014... "One will drop to below Wii U sales in 2014. When the hype is gone and smoke clears..." Hmmmm

Well, I'm pretty sure X1 will pass Wii U. The US is too big of a MS powerhouse. It just might hit 500k for January. Not too sure about that though.

ps3 was heavy heavy heavy supply constrained, not even close to what the xbox one is experiancing, i can go out and buy an xbox one if i wanted too. Both the 360 and ps3 had some of the worst shipping in history for their first december and november,  so of course people are gonna have to buy it the next month. Xbox one sales will not be the high due to the fact that anyone can buy it right now

There's online supply for the Xbox One, but it keeps selling out and having to be restocked. I still can't find one locally, same as the PS3 and Xbox 360. The Xbox One might not be quite as supply constrained as the PS3 and Xbox 360, but it's still supply constrained. I'm not expecting it to sell as much in January as either the PS3 or 360, but it will top the Wii U, I feel certain of that, because like I said, there are more January and February game releases for the Xbox One than for the Wii U, plus there's Titanfall coming in March that people will be buying their Xbox One's early for. Laugh all you want, but Titanfall's Xbox One preorders are currently on track to make it a fairly big system seller (120k and gaining 10k a week with 14 weeks to go in the US alone). 


The x1 is not even close to supply constrained, everywhere has them where the heck are you looking?

Really right now the only way I can win is if VGCHARTZ is over tracking by a considerable amount. NPD includes this last week and then we have financials coming up. Still, it's not looking good for me.

Yeah it would be very difficult for the X1 to just plummet for the next 4 weeks. I think your biggest mistake was underestimating the power of the impulse buyers in US. As we can tell from the past 7 or 8 years of iPhones, Galaxys, iPads, and Call of Dutys, Americans love new stuff, even if the last one came out the year before.

X1 will pass it with two weeks of data. Plus the X1 will pass the Wii U total sales sometime this year and it could be sooner then later depending on how good Titanfall will turn out.

Doesn't the 172k include a couple of days in December? It probably sold 170k during those days. Still 280k to go. Think you should be safe it it keeps selling at that rate OP.
