Forums - Gaming - Is Titanfall Microsoft's Second Secret Sauce?

Can someone explain to me what a "secret sauce" is? I feel like it's a VGChartz inside joke...

Something Sony fanboys use to troll the XBO.  I really wish the mod's would moderate it's usage, because there is no other usage for the term.

OT:  If Titanfall lives up to expectations, it will sell well and gather a good fanbase.  The sequel will be no less than 2 years away and all things will need to be revisited come Spring 2016.  That is a very long way away, so any prediction made now would be purely speculative.

Pretty sure EA already said it's just the first entry that will be exclusive.

Secret sauce is a great tasting sauce that draws you eat a certain particular sandwich or dish. Problem is that the ingredients are kept secret from theworld so it cannot be used by another party who makes the same dish, therefore making yours more special and having everyone flock to you. Problem is Microsoft will only have the first titanfall as an exclusive so it can't really be a secret sauce.

Nonthing will touch Titanfall. March 11 cant come soon enough.

the secret sauce is just one of the many threads about the internals and power of the xbox one that came up on here on vgc before launch. first one being "xbox one has a second "hidding" GPU and X1 has around 5 TFLOPS." or something like that. it was all originated from the same source, a bullshiter that doesnt make sense called Misterxmedia. basically anybody with a right mind could have identified that he was just hunting for clicks, but you got the fanboys that would believe anything.

Anyways every week or so we would get a new "insider report" from our good friend misterX. one being "xbox ones secret sauce" and as you can imagine, just like most things ridiculous about gaming news and media (my body is ready!), the term stuck and is now mocked.

every week or so we would get a new theory from this dude, and within hours the theory would get debunked, because it was flawed and it was obvious the source had no idea what he was talking about. anyways a lot of users (including me) would come in these threads and shoot them down right away for being full of shit, then we would have xbox fans "calling us out" that we shit on any "good news" for the xbox, and they were "fighting" to keep these threads and "good news" on the forums. funny thing is, now as the user above wants anybody who says secret sauce to banned, when xbox fans are the ones who brought the bullshit to forums in the fist place. i just LOVE the hypocrisy we have on this site.

Titanfall 1 will be released on Xbox 360, PC, and Xbox One. The series will gain a huge fanbase if the game is any good. Maybe a 3-5 million fanbase. I'm predicting that a sequal will be Xbox One exclusive so fans of the series will have to buy an Xbox One. Releasing on 3 platforms is just a trick to lure fans to the Xbox One. Mark my words homies. Titanfall could be the next Halo.

i dont think the sequel will be exclusive to MS as already mentioned

which words should i mark? titanfall could be the next halo lol stating it like that it deont matter it is or isnt as big as halo

i dont see the game being huge simply b/c theres no epic or even average or even any SP campaign, the footage and engine that has been shown doesnt look as fresh as COD did back in 07

First of all (assuming you're talking about me), I never said people should be banned.  I said they should be moderated.  Warnings can be given to let people know and if they keep doing it they could be banned.  That's the way moderating works.

Second of all, those previous uses of the term came from someone not a part of this forum and were never used to troll.  Cases like the OP are being used to troll.  I'm not calling for anything that isn't part of the site rules, so do make it out that I'm being inconsistent here.

Really? Because I'm pretty sure the OP is an MS fan.

If it fails, the sequel may never see the light of day.
If it does well, theres no reason not to put the sequel on the ps4.

either way, I cant see it beating halo.
