Does the WII have crappy games ? Much like the PS2 the WII sold because of SOFTWARE like every other console before it.

A game with no ambition will not be bought with the masses. 2D mario clearly suffered on that part and so will the rest of the best sellers on the WII. If nintendo keeps making games where there is no clear effort then the masses will buy it. |
this doesn't make sense once again, how do the masses know those sequels have no ambition, when they are not buying the console or the games to give them a chance, maybe thats not what mass market wants.

Again the masses are more informed than you think they are. What do you think the trailers and game kiosks are there for ? How do you figure that GTA V sold more than it's last iteration ?

this is laughable, if the masses loved those games so much like you think they do, they won't buy the sequels based on trailers and kiosks, this is the silliest thing i ever heard and GTA V is selling to a userbase 3x bigger then 4.

Again you keep assuming the masses are ignorant. If the masses are truly ignorant then why are alot of japanese games flopping ? Install base is an excuse when the point of the game is supposed to make you buy consoles, not the other way around.
ONE DOES NOT SIMPLY BUY THE CONSOLE TO EXPECT GAMES. ONE BUYS THE CONSOLE TO PLAY THE GAMES THAT WERE RELEASED.
Again this goes back to my point of "SOFTWARE SELLS HARDWARE".
It's not doing great commercially though especially compared to the last and current gen competition, so I don't think majority of people agree with the article at this point.
Well, that is true for now, it has about a 2 million lead on the PS4.

i'm tired and your arguments make no sense, you say sales = quality yet you call kinect a fad(flip flopper), which would have sold the same as the wii, if it came out in 2006, but by the time it came out nintedo had already exhausted the market, that's why the move from sony failed, the sequels to those games you say the masses love come out, yet they don't buy them, your argument would make sense if the sequels sold great, people found out they suck, then there is a huge decline in the next sequel but i have never seen declines like this on games loved by the masses.

kinect would have not sold anywhere near the same because it's obvious that microsoft is not committed in giving a good influx of software. Again I ain't no flip flopper if you knew the definition of a "fad". Kinect fits perfectly in this sense compared to the WII. Once again you have yet to understand the "SOFTWARE SELLS HARDWARE". A "fad" is something that dies very quickly and the WII does not meet this criteria. The move failed because the software on it was trash. It's as simple as that. The masses have more than one ways to tell if software is trash. How else would minecraft have set the world on fire from such a small developer ? The masses have others like them to see if the software is good. When a small part of the masses buy a certain game they test it to see if it's good. When they go on about raving it's quality to other parts of the masses the quality of the game may spread like wild fire and quality is once again being redefined and realized at the same time. WII party and WII Fit did not light up the charts immediately but it's accumulated sales over the long run shows that it was a wuality software defined by the masses. The reason why the next iteration fell flat was because they deemed these games as not worthy of spreading through the mouth.
Do you even read any of my points ? Were just going around in circles.
