Uhuhuhu...let's make a LIST:

1. Neon Genesis Evangelion -> I love Shinji. I love Asuka. I even love Rei. Some of the best characters in anime and some of the most well rounded and well defined one as well. For me it means a lot. Especially Asuka's deconstruction is like a train wreck going in slow motion. You're horrified by it but fascinated to an unhealthy degree and just can not look away.

2. Black Lagoon <- Almost wrote Bible Black there for a moment XD. Black Lagoon has some of the best character evolution in any action anime ever. I could write a whole essay on why I consider this anime to be so much more than meets the eye at first glance.

3. Now and then, here and there <- Better than most any other purposely dramatic anime out there...without even breaking a sweat. The rape storyline is heart wrenching and the whole story just ticks almost every right box.

4. Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt <- Left field? Leeeeeeft field. Loved it to bits, couldn't stop watching it the whole day when I discovered it. I generally love Gainax anime, but this took the cake. I haven't been this fascinated with a series in years.

5. Record of Lodoss War <- NOT Chronicles of the heroic knight! That's rubbish. The original OVA holds up great years after I've first watched it. Great show, good animation, good style, great story. Loved it.

6. Honey & Clover <- One of the anime that I need to rewatch now that I'm out of college completely. It fascinated me so much when I first discovered it and parts of it continue to fascinate me to this day.

7. Seikai no Senki I & II <- It's rare to find a good Sci-Fi anime that skirts the easy traps of echiness and perverseness. This is a no bullshit anime with great writing and great sci-fi space battles.

8. Fullmetal Panic? Fumoffu <- Short enough to never get stale, interesting enough to wish it were longer. The follow up to a pretty mediocre mecha anime proves that a capable studio can and will wrench gold out of shit.

9. Slayers <- Everything except the OVAs and the modern series. I wuuuuuuv Lina Inverse. Nuff said.

10. Redline, Sword of the stranger, Summer Wars, Paprika <- Can't decide.
