OMG it is not official...stop thinking that just because a guy named dracop made a weird comparison, that all Wii users think like him.

 I don't think anyone thinks Lair is gonna have a huge boost effect on PS3 sales, but it will definitely help. Person looks at the games for the PS3 to see if it's worth the money and Lair is one of those games that look impressive.  It will help sales.

I never liked Azkaban (movie never made sense to me - I have never read the books either), but I *loved* Goblet of fire (my fav HP movie). Seen it 4 times, and purchased it on DVD (which is a rarity for myself).

If I buy the game, it will be based on the strength of the game/reviews - not on the quality of the movie (or the books). SP3 is the perfect explanation why ;)

Well maybe you are the exeption, because honestly most wii fans do think like that.  Oh its got new controls it will be the greatest thing ever, 0ld PS2 port its ok it has waggle it will be great, weak graphics its ok its got waggle, PS3 or 360 game cant be as good because they lack the Wii waggle.  Ps3 or 360 game cant have good gameplay, hoe can they ???????? they dont haev the wii mote for gods sake.

 Honestly its like this, with 360 fans if it does not have online it sucks, with PS3 fans if it does not look great it sucks and with wii fans if its not waggle it sucks.

Seriously though, I think that with EA's track record of cranking out mostly craptastic movie tie-in shovelware, the game will suck on any console.

In terms of premise it does sound promising, but then again, it's EA behind the helm...

 Chamber of Secrets = Worldwide: $876,688,482 DOWN 100 MIL
 Prisoner of Azkaban = Worldwide: $789,804,554 DOWN 90 MIL
Goblet of Fire = Worldwide: $892,213,036 UP 100 MIL

 
Based on the book's story (i've read it) and the previews of the movie (and the reviews of the sneak previews) i believe this next movie may pass the $1 billion mark worldwide. And also, people who own a PS3, 360, and a Wii will definitely prefer the Wii version (OMG YOU CAN USE A WAND!!!)
Atleast, thats what I'm stickin by. This will be the first Harry Potter game that I actually buy for myself (and not my 6 year old nephew). Also, the game's mechanics have totally been re-done (GTA-style missions, you can basically explore the whole Hogwarts campus willy nilly).
So, in conclusion, the Wii version will sell 2 million copies before January 2008.
