Like others have said, the HP series both movie wise and gamewise has been on a downward spiral. I haven't seen major HP support for the games, despite the huge fanbase of HP fans of the books. Go over to Boxofficemojo.com and look up HP grosses. Each sequal has sold less than the next, regardless if the movie/book(s) were better. Just because there's a huge fanbase/reader base doesn't mean that the games will do well. Because last time I checked, "the Bible game" didn't do too hot on PS2 and Xbox, despite the reader base being somewhere in billions. | Not true. Goblet of Fire (bk4) did better than Prisoner of Azkaban (bk3) http://www.boxofficemojo.com/showdowns/chart/?id=vs-harrypotter.htm |
I never liked Azkaban (movie never made sense to me - I have never read the books either), but I *loved* Goblet of fire (my fav HP movie). Seen it 4 times, and purchased it on DVD (which is a rarity for myself).
If I buy the game, it will be based on the strength of the game/reviews - not on the quality of the movie (or the books). SP3 is the perfect explanation why ;)
