For comparison sake:

The wii u sold a total of 1 unit in the month of December in amazon. The elderly lady who bought the wii u was trying to buy the all new “wii vibrate yo pussy" but she mistakingly bought a wii u instead.

If you don't know what a “wii vibrate yo pussy" is than just ask nikkom. He probably has like 20 of them.

Sources: Me because I work at McDonalds even thoe that has nothing to do with amazon...

This post is the reason why the world believes gamers have low IQ.

too bad that the majority of ppl that were waiting for ps4 probably saw xbox one available and jumped at it.. over a ps4..

I'm sure some people did that... but a majority? Nay.

We're all so desperate to see who comes out on top, or who has the edge, that we're now resorting to CSPM (consoles sold per minute).

Can I get a face palm?

Xbone seem to be in stock a lot more often, and not sell for much premium on eBay.

This one sold at loss: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Microsoft-Xbox-One-Latest-Model-500-GB-Black-Console-/181279546119?pt=Video_Games&hash=item2a351a5b07

When you count sales taxes seller may have paid, plus eBay plus PayPal fees the seller may be losing $100 bucks.  Hopefully this will put an end to scalpers buying consoles as soon as they appear in shops.

My 8th gen collection

Its gonna be like that until christmas for both consoles. The real deal starts next year.

12,000 in 27 minutes is equal to an average of 444 a minute. Xbox One was selling 1,000 a minute on Amazon at peak demand according to Microsoft. As for why the Xbox One was still available after 3 hours while the PS4 quickly sold out, it's because the Xbox One has been restocked multiple times at multiple online retailers this week, PS4 has seen very few restocks in comparison, so of course the PS4 was going to sell out faster on Amazon when it was restocked. Both systems are obviously doing quite well. Week 4 Xbox One/week 5 PS4 sales should be strong for both consoles.

Average is different then peak. 444 a min for a 27 min period anyone of those 27 min could have peaked higher than 1000

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

the x1 has seen good supply runs at amazon so far, the ps4- not so much, so of course it's going to sell out fast. people have been waiting for it for some time.

in the end, both consoles will sell quite good for both companies.

He said more things...

"You get asked sometimes, ‘Do you create an artificial shortage because you want there to be a feeding frenzy?’ No you don’t! I mean, you have competition out there, and there are lots of things that people can spend money on, especially during the holidays, and holidays only come around once a year, so that’s really when you want to take advantage of the market opportunity.

So we manufactured every unit that we could get our hands on. And the good news is… [the PS4 is] far and away the largest launch in console history, not just PlayStation history, gaming history."

hmm, sounds impressive, but it was only 12,000. I mean, sometimes you hear about concerts for 20,000 people being sold out in minutes.
