Yes, Dual Shock, but I remember them making a big deal about how they can activated the motors seperately in the PS4.  And I was like, what?! They weren't seperate.



 

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

It's more like 360 was trying to imitate PCs in a way and now both PS4 and One are doing that.

I would say not as much like a PC as the orginal Xbox or the current Xbox One or PS4.

Both the Xbox 360 and PS3 did some different things than a typical PCs.  The Xbox 360 cpu is more like a server, and the memory was all wierd being graphic type and unified.  The PS3 had it's own unusual CPU.

The main thing the 360 had like a PC was using DirectX.  And that's why they made a console in the first place.

The original dual shock on PSone could operate together or independently. I know this because Psycho Mantis blew my mind moving it around in Metal Gear Solid.

according to EA, PS4 is gen 4, we all know EA is the most credible developer out there.
