I agree except to me its subsequent years. PS3 was the biggest failure of all time until the price drop, the remodel, and God of War/Uncharted came out. The Vita is finished though. All of its big titles came out and no one cared, and that is 100% Sonys fault. The only franchise of theirs that is selling well on PS3 is Uncharted. Killzone 3 was a flop, Resistance 3 was a massive flop, LBP2's sales were way down compared to the 1st one, yet they really thought anyone would want a portable console with those games as its base. They are going to have the same problem on PS4 at some point too, they are very lucky that the 3rd parties are there supporting them. |
Thanks for the good examples. Yep, you´re right. it may take more than a few months for a console to stablish on the market.

PS2 was. I was trying to get one on day one and couldn't. That's why I got a Dreamcast! I couldn't find a PS2 until The Bouncer and Zone of the Enders came out (not sure which one was the last). Same thing with the Wii. It took months for me to find one. I was calling stores and everything. I finally found one three or four counties away at a Gamestop in a small town.
Wii U and Ps3 didnt sell out launch day in US. Wii U als didnt sell out in UK

Meeting the demand is actually a flag for Sony doom. If it doesn't stay sold out for the rest of the year and at least half of the next, then the console will be a failure compared to what all the Sony fanboys are raving about. If it can pull that off, then I will give Sony some credit.
You guys are actually insulting Sony if anything by making such a big deal out of this. Like I've been saying, consoles always sell out. The fact that you are celebrating it so loudly actually makes me think that people are going
"whew, didn't think it was that great of a console, that's a relief"
That is a lot closer to what this celebration is indicating.
