This is like the people who brag about their heated swiveling cup holders and "cool" purple headlights, spinning rims, how many TVs it has, and useless look at me gadgets in their brand new new car...meanwhile it has less horsepower than everything else and an economy car suspension, you know, the things that actually matter for a cars primary purpose?

Priorities.

You keep your Bluetooth, ill keep my 750 HP when I see you revving at the light grinning.

why is being able to watch tv or videos while you are playing your game important? I can t imagine wanting to do that or caring a all about the ability to do so- it would jus be an interruption in your game play or the reverse

They need that feature... what can you do when you have a xx minutes install time?

Exactly snap feature is really silly imo why would i want to snap a browser or netflix etc at same time as playing a game ill just do one or the other in fullscreen and xboxone reserved 10 percent of its gpu for kinect and snap what a waste

Going to have to agree with the OP here. I will never own a MS console but atm they are the company that actually has the games and features I am interested in. It just almost seems like Sony is lost and doesn't know what to do. Everything that stood out about the Vita and now the PS4, came from another company doing it first. I am not interested in followers, I am interested in market leaders, companies that bring new things to the table.

Over the past decade or so, Nintendo and Microsoft have been the leaders when innovation is considered. Sony simply follows behind.
Microsoft releases the most powerful console.. Sony does it next.
They put a hard drive in there... Sony does it next.
Achievements.. Sony does it next.
Gamerscore... Sony does it next.
Motion gaming with the Wii... Sony comes out with the 'wand'
The Kinect... Sony 'attempts' to position their Eyetoy as a competing product.
A closed, subscription based online gaming service... Sony releases PS+ for their fourth gen machine.
There isn't a single thing that Sony has done that Nintendo or Microsoft felt the need to copy. Nothing.
It's always been the other way around and still is.
Can't argue with that. go ahead and try if you like, but it's a losing battle.... and I don't wanna hear about free games on PS+ vs. Games with Gold as an argument. Totally different concepts and integration.

Wait didn't Sega(Sega CD) release the most powerful console or something a while back? Or Dreamcast? So no MS didn't do that first.

And didn't both MS and SONT pretty much copy/follow with motion gaming Kinect/Move?

Achivements and Gamerscore I guess those are innovations...they do add something to shoot for in games. Even though Gamerscore(is just another "high score" method that has been around since atari). And you can't say you don't want to hear about getting free games on PS+ and free games on Gold that is cherry picking if you ask me because it is indeed pretty much the same thing.

Heck one can go as far as to say the XB1 went and changed all of the policies it originally had in place because of the PS4 would that be "copying" as well? No So please don't use this as an argument like you are doing because it is silly.

But I must say this post is kind of silly that is what you do in a business practive you IMPROVE ideas.I have never got why this is sucha  big deal or why folks point it out like it is a bad thing. Just seems silly to me. And as a GAMER I love when the "competition" tries to 1up one another it keeps gaming fresh and fun! So why complain! Just enjoy the times folks!

The hard drive is in no way innovative on either sides lol

Sony had the Eyetoy before M$ has the Kinect. Check the PS2 :p

The PS+ was and is still a kind of a rental service. It's only required for online gaming for PS4. Did Xbox Live Gold offer the games that PS+ did? I think not! You say not to use it as an argument yet you listed it as something that Sony copied from M$.

I miss the old days when ps3 was struggling super bad.

The forums were way less biased back then. Might as well rename this site to PSChartz

I could really destroy a bunch of biased false posts on here.. But the mid information is so blatantly obvious that no one needs to argue or try..

mM

Back to the car example, its like people going on trying to impress me with their LED lit cup holders and how many swiveling rotating chrome lined TVs they have in their car and I'm trying to keep a straight face thinking only "you paid $40k for only 200 HP?! LMAO"

I buy a car, the ONLY thing I car about is how much horsepower and how many Gs it can pull.  You know, the actual performance as an automobile and not all the gadget crap womenly-men care about.

Likewise I just want my game console to....play games!
