So let me see if I under stand something. It was ok for sega and plat to make the first bayonetta for ps360 and skip the wii which had twice the install base at that time yet somehow this is not ok to make it for wii u and skip 360/ps3? Sounds like a bunch of double standard cry babies running around in need of their moms tities for some dinner. Get over yourself. The game is going to sell like crap and that's perfectly fine with me I will buy it day 1 just to buy it. Hell I may not even play it but just to buy and support the developers. If you want to play it buy a wii u its cheap enough to do so. Hell you can buy them at some stores for under 200$ brand new which is crazy. Btw if you buy a Nintendo console Microsoft and Sony execs are not going to kidnapp your first born or kill your parents while they are sleeping. It's ok to buy a wii u and have a Sony or Microsoft console to.

What? I seriously don't undertand how someone could think that those two things are the same.

So, let me get this straight. If xenoblade was a third party game and was released on the wii, made an audience over the years and then Sony paid them to make a sequel available only on ps3, you'd be fine with that? How many people buy (or can afford/justify the purchase of) a second console just for one game? It's kind of ridiculous to make a sequel in a new consloe and expect your audience to buy a new console for that game alone. Not blaming sega or ninty, just pointing out that this has nothing to do with install base or people being cry babies. If Wonderfull 102 is released on ps4/xbone and not on wiiu, ninty fans would have every right to complain. What if it becomes an xbone exclusive and you already have a wiiu and a ps4. Do you get yet another console for one game?

bolded:bad try. the option to pay for exclusivity was only open because the game was cancelled. fans should celebrate. that's very different than a game skipping a console for no reason whatsoever.

bolded 2: people can dislike it but if the game wouldn't exist otherwise, it must be accepted.

the term hardcore gamer means  gamer who likes games that demand skill and dedication. the nintendo audience certainly fits that while players of fps multiplayer are quite far from that definition.

That hasn't always been true. Back in the 80s or 90s "hardcore" and "casual" had totally different meanings when it came to gaming. "Hardcore" merely meant that gaming was something you spent a lot of time doing, where as a "casual gamer" was someone who only played games once in awhile. There was a period of time in the early 2000s when I just didn't have the time or money to invest in gaming as much, and my interest just kind of dropped off a bit in that GC/PS2 generation, where I actually considered myself more of a "casual gamer", because I didn't play as much as I used to as a kid or teen. And that was years before this new definition of "casual gamer" popped up with the advent or the DS and Wii.

To me, personally, the new definitions are rather silly. There is nothing all that "hardcore" about preferring games that are harder, and someone shouldn't be labeled "casual" inferring that they're not a "real gamer". That's a childish mentality, to me.

there is no such thing as a "casual gamer". gamers are gamers but hardcore are the ones who really go for it.

Theres nothing hardcore about wanting to play games that are harder? Do me a favor and ask twenty non-gamers if they want to play a hard game. After they tell you "No" because of "X,Y,Z". Now ask them if they want to play the Wii. Its easy if you're social enough to understand it.

wii is a console, not a game. and as usual for every nintendo system, you will find lots of hard games.

I think that platinum games is a solid developer. I have liked all their games I have played so far (Anarchy Reigns, Bayonetta, MGS Rising, and Vanquish).

And I am also fine with Nintendo getting exclusives. That is called "business"... And it was a great business decision to bring this game to their console.

I just think Platinum is mishandling the fanbase and their IP by making it exclusive to the Nintendo. I don't know what kind of research or reaction they expected. But, someone was really not thinking at Platinum when they signed this agreement with Nintendo.

I hope it sells well and Nintendo fans enjoy the game. I'm sure it will be good. But, Platinum has really just guaranteed that their core fanbase is not going to be run back if they come crying to the PS4 and X1 if they don't get the sales they want in Bayonetta 2.

Dead wrong.

Nintendo should just buy the IP entirely to piss people off, lol.

And make a Bayonetta 3 fully cell shaded and a complete parody of dudebros gamers.

Eh, at this point no one could give a damn about the franchise. The people that do have a damn with it will just move on like nothing happened so they should probably just let nintendo have another irrelevant franchise.

yeah, nintendo has so many irrelevant franchises that everyone wants to play them.

Which is indicated by the stellar success of the Wii U and 3D World.

it is indicated by the number of sony/ms fanboys that want nintendo to go third party solely to play their games.

try much harder next time, this wasn't even a contest.

Aah how could I forget, the best way to indicate real world demand are people begging on the internet, I mean fuck sales right?

What does that have to do with anything I said? Not sure if language barrier or something else, but seriously you completely ignored my point and repeated what has been said hundreds of times so far. I'm aware of that. That was not my point.

To quote you "Try harder next time".

(not a nice attitude, now is it?)

you had no point. your "example" has no similarities with the situation.
