Regardless of who is funding the game, it'll flop if it stays a Wii U exclusive. Just stating facts here. That audience just isn't on the Wii U D:

Yeah, cuz the first one really lit up the charts on the other consoles....  I guess that means the audience just isn't anywhere.

it's funny when people say the audience isn't there when this game fits much better with the nintendo audience (true hardcore gamers). it will probably outsell the previous versions, maybe even combined if it gets legs. not being a new ip anymore certainly helps.

True hardcore gamers, lol what???!

the term hardcore gamer means  gamer who likes games that demand skill and dedication. the nintendo audience certainly fits that while players of fps multiplayer are quite far from that definition.

You realise there are far more genres on PS360 than FPS right? Also, to be the best at anything you need to have skills and dedication ....

BTW, you're not responding to any of the WiiU sales stuff that's come out over the last day, disappointed?

I don't get why the fanbase doesn't realize that this game wouldn't even exist without Nintendo. Yes it sucks to all the X360/PS3 Bayonetta fans that don't own the WiiU, but it's either this or nothing.

If they truly cared that much about the game, they'd buy a Wii U to play it. That's pretty much the bottom line. They should be thankful it's being made at all, thanks to Nintendo footing the bill.

One game is not enough.

I don't think anyone involved cares about whether it flops or not. The developers have their paychecks and are happy that they could make it. Nintendo will sell a few more consoles and the buyers will be happy about another cool game for the WiiU. The Only people who care if it will flop are the ones that will not get the game anyway and are butthurt about it.

The gamers perspective really doesn't matter here. It's always business and Nintendo does want some of the PS3/360 to make the shift to Nintendo which just is not going to happen. This was the wrong game to choose.

If you are talking about business, are you saying that this will hurt Nintendo? If not then what's your point?

Yes, its abot business and yes it will hurt Nintendo. If Nintendo doesn't popularize itself with third party titles the majority of gamers (whom play third party games) will not flock. They are trying to play teasing games, dangling a strip of bacon to people that are being fed very well elsewhere. " Hey guys, we took the game you play. Play it over here". The rest will most likely say " Yeah, we're going back to COD or Skyrim now. Thanks".

What does it need then? And Call of duty is the last thing I would call hardcore.

Animal Crossing for example, is "hardcore". You really need to focus on game "to play it real". And there is no blood and no realistic graphics on Animal Crossing

This just seems like you're coming up with your own definition to fit your argument.

I'll tell you what a hardcore gamer is, one that spends fucking money. And I don't see many of those on WiiU, so you come up with your little ideas about what hardcore is but you're fooling yourself.

This time I have to agree with Zero. Nintendo gamers (of Mario and others games) are really harcore. A game don't need to be Call of Duty or realistic to be "harcore".

it's the kind of thing that sells the most on ps/xbox systems, so I guess you agree that the audience on those consoles isn't THAT hardcore.

tagged for later, I bet he'll be begging the port beggers to buy a wii U once the game releases ;P

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Just go and see some facebook group of Animal Crossing then. People really spent money on it. And no, I'm not fooling myself. Anyway, only this time I agree with Zero. But of course there are more "harcore" gamers on PS/Xobox brand.

And just one thing: people also spend money on Call of Duty, so they are "hardcore" gamers too?

Yes, I and others totally think the majority of those 80m PS3/360 owners are hardcore ...
