the fans should be begging for a pimped bayonetta 1 port to the wii u, thats a possible game. its not an buyed exklusiv, sega and nintendo are close, if bayonetta 2 dont totaly bomb it realy could happen.

Seems possible. PG is a small dev, did they ever had more than two or maybe three games announced at once? Development on the next game surely has started after finishing W101, maybe even earlier. i don't expect to hear from that for some months. Will be interesting though: What for a game will it be? Who will publish it? Which platforms it is aimed at?

That could say a lot about PGs future.

Kamiya said that they could port Bayo1 to Wii U before Bayonetta 2 release, if Nintendo funds the port. So they actually seem not to be under heavy workload.

Regardless of who is funding the game, it'll flop if it stays a Wii U exclusive. Just stating facts here. That audience just isn't on the Wii U D:

I don't think anyone involved cares about whether it flops or not. The developers have their paychecks and are happy that they could make it. Nintendo will sell a few more consoles and the buyers will be happy about another cool game for the WiiU. The Only people who care if it will flop are the ones that will not get the game anyway and are butthurt about it.

The gamers perspective really doesn't matter here. It's always business and Nintendo does want some of the PS3/360 to make the shift to Nintendo which just is not going to happen. This was the wrong game to choose.

If you are talking about business, are you saying that this will hurt Nintendo? If not then what's your point?

it wasn't a "choice" between x and y. bayo 2 was needing a publisher/funder and nintendo did it. some fans will buy the wii u for it, many that didn't play the first game will be interested to try it since all the butthurt meltdown was great advertising, so new fans will appear. win win

Yeah, cuz the first one really lit up the charts on the other consoles....  I guess that means the audience just isn't anywhere.

it's funny when people say the audience isn't there when this game fits much better with the nintendo audience (true hardcore gamers). it will probably outsell the previous versions, maybe even combined if it gets legs. not being a new ip anymore certainly helps.

but isnt that the point? Bayonetta didnt do great on PS360 with that fanbase and those consoles sold. Wii U doesnt have that kind of fanbase and will have much smaller userbase than either PS3 or 360

This time I have to agree with Zero. Nintendo gamers (of Mario and others games) are really harcore. A game don't need to be Call of Duty or realistic to be "harcore".

What does it need then? And Call of duty is the last thing I would call hardcore.
