Forums - Nintendo - Platinum Games Creative Director is Fed Up With Bayonetta 2 port begging

I am sure Nintendo will pay them a share once the game actually earns money, but there will be development costs to cover before that happens.

Or are you seriously thinking Nintendo pays for development and pays even more after that regardless of how the game is selling?

That is something i seriously doubt.

I'm not convinced Platinum won't be recieving a share of the income from the beginning. And even if they don't, they can't lose money because they never spent any.

It is obvious you don't know what the word profit means

It means net gain of money. When your development is paid for, any money you get from sales is a net gain.

But you don't know if they get any money from sales at all. If Nintendo paid for development they will make sure to recoup their own investment first before paying out any money for a game that may not be profitable.

You trying to claim Platinum won't get a share of the money the game earns? Seriously doubt that.

You don't see it very often in the industry but that is exactly what happened.  Nintendo funded it which means all liabilities will go to them along with the revenue.  The money in terms of development has already been spent, the question is how much Nintendo gets back.  If it moves consoles in Japan then I am sure they will be happy because those owners will buy other Wii U games as well.

Your arguments reached a full circle now.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Consistent arguments tend to come back to their core premise.

That Platinum games won't have any money when the game is done?

How will they lose money when Nintendo's funding the game?

So if you're not saying they'll lose money, but you are saying they'll have none, you're saying they have no money as of now?

So you don't even remember what i am arguing now? How is that for consistency?

Your argument's ranged from "Nintendo may regret publishing it" to "Platinum won't make money from it".
