There are plenty unsold Xbox consoles in stores
There are surely enough people who wanted a PS4 and didn't want to wait till spring 2014 to get one....A friend of mine acted like that but he gladly got his PS4.
Those numbers mean nothing - If Sony could provide supply no matter how big the number is they would have sold it.
You can't get a PS4 ANYHWHERE in stores by walking in but you can get Xbox Ones easily(outside of the USA) - ANd while waiting till you get a PS4 some people don't mind picking up a One in the meantime.

This is what people are not getting. more than 50% of Xbox360 sold was in the US. MS has to ship more console there then anywhere else. There are people who will come into a store to buy a PS4, cannot find it and decide to pick a Xbox One. MS wants those people. So PS4 being sold out in the US is a good opportunity for MS to have more stocks available and get as many as those people mentioned above...

Not at all... thats a no lose situation now.

Following this number... If NPD is less than VGC then the One sales in Europe must be far higher than expected.  If the NPD is higher than VGC then its made a great start in its most important market and a decent start in Europe.

even NPD will tell half the story since its also missing the the week of the 7th


And a big bulk of that comes from their black friday sales. They need to plugged holes better than that. They don't want it to reek like that surface PR spin.

Xbox One can't be more than 1'5 million until 30 november if they sold 2 million until 10 december. VGC seems to have made the right decision adjusting down those Xbox One numbers. But, we will see with NPD numbers tomorrow....


I think 500k in the last 10 days is too much, there was a little shortage (much smaller than the PS4´s) and the consumist feaver has worn off.

500k would mean XOne could sell 1mi for the Xmass week and reach close to 4mi total. MS just don´t have 4mi to sell this hollydays, nor Sony.

VGChartz "correct" the USA numbers but should have compensated with rest of the world.

ps4 is definitely 1 week ahead on shipment, let face it, it's about how much they can shipped.

2.1 m as of Dec. 1(next vgchartz numbers should add Dec. 1-7 new shipment numbers)
vs.
2 m as of Dec 9( already have Dec.1-7 shipments numbers)

anyway, both are exceeding my expectations.

Altho its funny...because Kowen said he wasnt ever going to reply to Ethomaz ever again (yesterday i think?). That didnt last long.
