"The sales you see right now is the lowest you will see from WiiU in Japan for the rest of 2013:)

I predict the following WiiU sales moving forward:

Week ending dec 8: 40 000

Week ending dec 15: 65 000

Week ending dec 22: 90 000

Week ending dec 29: 150 000

And that is a worst case scenarioXD

Quoting myself from the last media create thread

I predicted 40 000+ sales for the week ending dec 8. Media Create posted 48 000 WiiU sales. Pezus said my numbers where crazy. I guess so far so good:)

Week ending in dec 22, is very likely to be bigger than the week ending in dec 29. And, your numbers are way too high.

You seem to think the Japanese holiday season starts when the western holiday season starts? Shops in Japan will close on dec 29 this year and stay closed for the following 7 days. However, i believe you hope i'm right and wouldn't mind eating crow if i am:)

Do you have a source for that?  Just genuinely interested.  Because first week of January is normally a big week in Japanese gaming industry where all hardware sales shoot wayyyyy up as people spend their holiday money.  Would be extremely odd to see that not happening this year.

Interesting.

Also, I can't wait for people who haven't been following COMG to see next week's MC/Famitsu chart. It's gonna be fun.

Actually I do:

This national holiday was established in 1948, as a day to celebrate the new year. New Year's Day marks the beginning of Japan's most important holiday season, the New Year season (正月 Shōgatsu?), which generally refers to the first one, three or seven days of the year. Although not prescribed by law, many workplaces are closed from December 29 to January 3. Prior to 1948, New Year's Day was a national holiday on which the imperial worship ceremony known as Shihō-hai (四方拝?) took place.

The holiday starting dec 29 last for 10 days but shops only stay closed 6 days this year. Slight mistake.

Oh.  That's okay then.  Same as every year; so sales trends will be the same as they are every year (i.e. sales will shoot up).  Good to know!

Since all the focus is on Wii-U not a bomba/Gran Turismo a bomba this week, I'll just point out this Inazuma drop that someone shared on GAF.   Sure it'll have legs, but all Inazuma games do.  Doesn't look too good (luckily Youkai Watch seems to have taken off so Level 5 don't need to worry too much about losing their I11/LB fanbases):

Looks like 3DS will end up below 2012 in Japan, there's no way it can match the 2012 numbers now with only a few weeks remaining. And here I thought Pokemon would have been enough to beat last year, guess not. Wii U though, numbers are decent now. Vita TV.....more like Mortem TV.

Maybe they should have had the 2DS release this year in Japan. That could have very well caused 3DS to be up YoY

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

Go Wii U and a nice bump for Mario 3D world...Nintendo own Japan at the moment :D

When i think about it; 6 days vs 7 days is actually a huge deal, lol! At first it seems like no big deal but on closer look it isXD

I guess since this week Media Create has higher numbers they're the "better" tracker now.

Gotta love that Famitsu/MC flipflop week to week.
