I noticed that too yesterday and wondered what was up. I swear the launch day edition was like 4th in that same list a few months after E3

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

Maybe you should worry more about the fact that Xbox one dropped to 60k on the second week in europe, after a 300k opening (so in one week the PS4 sold almost double what the X1 did in 2 weeks). Just saying... the PS4 would be the console to worry about the least.

This is if you were beeing sarcastic. If not, nevermind. Its just a silly retailers chart.

You should read his actual post. He is wondering why the ps4 disappeared from the best seller list.

Anyway I've seen this happen before with games. Just a glitch. It will be back up in a few days.

Sorry, just assumed you just read the thread title, since the title does sounds like him being excited about ps4 not being on the list but not his post Guess I shouldn't assume what I think others assume X(.

A quick "not completely on topic" question from a new member.

I recently got into the habit of lurking amazon and other website bestseller pages. How good of an estimation is that in regard of actual sells ?

What is your experience on this ?

Thanks.

Regardless of which is the best seller in what country, retailer, on Black Friday, on launch day etc, the fact is, as of now the PS4 is pushing ahead of the XBone by a large gap of around 700K worldwide.

That's all that matters, the actual units sold, till today.

By March 2014, I would predict PS4 to be around 6 to 7 miliion minimum (with a large contribution from Japan where it launches in Feb) whereas the XBone will be up to 3million at most. As more and more normal people (i.e. those that don't frequent gaming sites like us) are aware of the performance diference between the 2, the gap will be much bigger moving forward.

In terms of games, there will likely be many new ones appearing for the upcoming Japan launch.
