I really loved the grandia series. From the very first one, which was awesome, to nr 2 and 3, i played them all. The graphics were good, but the battle system was excellent.

I hope they will make it. Maybe something for nintendo?

But all the info i got online has been worrying. It doesnt look like GA has any plans to develop a new Grandia at this point. They have been developing Ragnarok Odyssey lately and i dont know what other plans they might have.
I would be happy with at least HD remakes of Grandia 2 and 3.

The original creators have died and/or left the company aswell, wich is not good. Though im sure there are still fans of the game in the company. Lets just hope they dont butcher a return of the series like they did Lunar.

also, i dont think they ever developed for a Nintendo console. I would be fine with whatever though.

If only FF followed the same formula eh? :P After you get a sucky title they would stop. With that said, Grandia 3 is no FFXIII. The combat was still sweet, even if the characters werent as memorable as 1 and 2.

I thought it was a great game. Critics were to harsh. I enjoyed it very much. Not as much as 1, but thats okay.

Depends probably all on how well the PS4 will do in Japan and other "important" J-RPG Territories.
If the PS4 has a big enough install base such games could sell good enough to justify the effort.

Of course we are talking about a Console Grandia.
There is probably always a chance for a Handheld or Mobile Grandia or at least something that is using the name.
So right now i rather see the franchise staying dead

I'm sure a Grandia on the Vita/PS3 would be doable. The art style is very similar to Ragnarok Odyssey, so im sure they have the resources to develop one with just some tweaks to that engine. The question is if they want to.

Most likely what will happen is Grandia for the Vita or 3DS or Mobile, if it ever happens. (Also in that order)

Takeshi Miyaji the creator of Grandia died back in 2011 at the age of 45. He did leave GA in 2000.
