Metal Gear Solid fans have never liked Raiden much, although Kojima himself seems to do! Considering most of those fans have PS systems, i'd say they're not missing much.

Sanke is the best no doubting that but if it wasnt for Raiden sanke could not have completed his Mission, also your also negleting the fact that at the End of MGS2 Raidn took down 30 Metal Gear Ray's and then Arsenal Gear while Snake went to go Fight liguid .. yeah Raiden is a Useless Charecter, Infact hes so useless hes taken down more Metal Gear's then Snake.
And to top it all off he is the Cybrog Ninja Ver. 2.0 GTFO

Rising? I wouldn't go near that abomination!! MGS4 had Raiden in it, but it wasn't about him. Although like i said Kojima himself likes Raiden, which is why Raiden was so different in that game. He wanted people to think what a badass he is. As most fans hated his guts in MGS2.
