This thread is priceless. Why use the wishlist, which has constantly been switching around the entire year? Why not at least use the Bestsellers list? Of course, that's only for the hour and will have Xbox on top, as its in stock. I just wish Amazon would fix the Bestsellers for the year, which is really the only Amazon list that matters, since the PS4 was at #6 before it was completely taken off for whatever reason.

Xbox has been in the top of the Bestsellers list ever since that first restock last week, a thread has already been made(http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=173849&page=1#) . And for that Bestsellers for the year, there's at least the Battlefield PS4 bundle is in there.

Yes, but for whatever reason the PS4 Launch SKU, which was #6 for the year, AND the PS4 Standard SKU, which I believe was #36 the last time I looked, was taken down.  In other words, for the entire year, the PS4 has outsold the Xbox One on Amazon, as well.  Again, I have no idea why it was taken off.

Of course, you could look at WW Amazon sites and get the same impression.

Amazon UK - PS4 #3; One #33, #56

Amazon CA - PS4 #1, #26,#31; One #9 (outsold by the Ouya)

Amazon DE - PS4 #2, #5, #55; One #25

Amazon FR - PS4 #27, #30, #70; One #40

So, if you go by the numbers that actually mean anything, the PS4 is ahead on all of them.

Do those really mean something when consoles sell tens of millions more in the US?

Tens of millions? Where in the world did you get that number? The PS4 sold ~1.2 million in the US and ~900k everywhere else. Last time I checked, 300k =/= 10's of millions.

Anyways, the thread should renamed to "XBox One most wished for video game item on Amazon *US*". It should also be noted that the wish list rankings are not even close to being representative of Amazon's overall rankings.

you should re-read that. I said CONSOLES sell tens of millions more in the US. Not Xbox One and PS4 specifically.

Around the Network

i can see a big smile on any XB1 fans...

Then what's your point, exactly? PS4 is a console and it only sold 300k more in the US than in the other countries. Your statement is absolutely false because by your logic, the 360 will still be leading the PS3 in sales, in which it is the total opposite.

Game consoles (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, Wii U, Xbox One, PS4) sell more in the US than Canada, UK, France, and Germany combined. That is my point. An Amazon Bestsellers list doesn't do much of an impact when the country it comes from doesn't even sell 10 million of a console

More, but by how much? 10's of millions? That is not even close to what the number actually is. Just from looking at sales figures, we can say that American sales are about 33% larger than the rest of the world sales, or a 4 to 3 ratio. The point where consoles in America sell 10's of millions of consoles more than everywhere else is when the consoles will have sold at least 140 million units (where 80 million will be sold in the US and 60 million everywhere else). However, only two systems have sold over that quantity (the PS2 and the DS). However, we're talking about the beginning of the generation where the X1 has sold around 1.5 million and the PS4 has sold 2.1 million. The rankings are quite significant because 1.) the UK is the XBox's 2nd strongest market and 2.) Europe is nearly as large of a market as the US. Stop making things up.

There you go with that selective reading again. The Amazon pages clearly say Canada, UK, France, and Germany. US SELLS TENS OF MILLIONS MORE THAN THOSE COUNTRIES! NOT ALL OF EUROPE

The person put those countries up as examples. I bet that in the Netherlands, Denmark, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Luxembourg, Belgium, Switzerland, etc. the results are similar. The PS4 and X1 hasn't even sold 5 million in total. Again, stop making things up. Your resortment to typing all-caps isn't helping your cause either.

Dude are you seriously doing this right now? I thought we already passed the fact that I said consoles in general. I have to type in caps because you really don't understand. I'm done here, just believe whatever you want.

I'm just pointing out the facts. You're the one who made up the tens of millions figure. You have failed back up that figure with evidence in several opportunities and that's because it is downright wrong.

We're on a sales site, Go to any weekly chart and then look up UK's, France's, and Germany's hardware sales, they are nothing compared to US hardware sales. Simple as that.
