Well if they don't release a console that plugs into your brain through your ears, using your brain as a controller and beams the display onto your eye lids then I'm going to be very disappointed.

Sony's already said this console cycle will likely be shorter than the last one, so by 2017/18, we will probably start to be hearing about the PS5.
One of Nintendo's problems IMO is they follow the stupid same release pattern as Sony/MS do. If you want to be different, one really easy way to do it (instead of trying to come up with some kind of controller gimmick every time) is to simply discard that cycle entirely.
Launch 2 years ahead of your competition and release a machine that's sufficently more powerful than what's on the market at that time and you should be able to build up a nice sized userbase before the other two have to start over at 0 again.
Even the Wii U, as much of a disaster as its been, had it launched in fall 2011, you're probably looking at an install base well north of 10 million by now. Had they ditched the tablet pad/chasing the "Wii formula" again and simply made something say 3x more powerful than an XBox 360 ... they'd probably be clear of 15 million right now easily and on pace to hit 20 million soon after this holiday season.
It would take Sony and MS years to catch up.
Nintendo need to try to find a way to put their innovative touch, while having a good enough hardware with not many complications to not lure away third party. All within a competitive pricepoint. I do not think they are capable of such a task without having a too expensive product.
I want the most beefy tablet that there is on the market on 2017.
Should easily reach about 2.5 teraflops of performance. And of course, it is powered by a popular OS, not proprietary, that way network and communications could be handled over to a company who actually is a professional on the matter.
What do you mean? I thought we all came to the conclusion that Nintendo was dead. It's hard to do much when you're dead. Duh!
I have no clue what they'll do at this point. Hopefully nothing stupid.
It's hard to tell what nintendo will do next seeing as how they've gotten themselves into an even bigger flop than gamecube.
Nintendo's next machine will creat a all new kind of gaming it will be a mix of portable and desktop machine can you imagine something like a 3DS that sends video to the TV a inverse WiiU if you will, this would be killer can you imagine all the Nintendo creating power at only one console? One that you may carry with you all the time, but once you get home you are able to play it in full HD? Look im not the one who will say hot it would work, but i think that the fact that Nintendo merged these divisions into one is ONE HELL OF A TIP for what is coming next.

I love this kind of comments ahahaha 4 years down the road if the WiiU do not sells 24+million you may say that, cuz all i can see now is the WiiU sales getting up and up across the globe.

Every system rises as Christmas gets closer, that's a pretty pointless metric.
Right now the Wii U is not selling anywhere close to the GameCube. That's simply a fact.
