Xbox was a small time player back then, they could've had 1080P and no would've cared. Things are different now. The install bases are closer so the interest is closer to being in between.

1080p with 2004 game textures would have been a sight to behold.

But I hear ya...few 3rd party games running at true 1080p vs 720p upscaled to 1080p on a decent TV and at a comfortable viewing distance is trully going to change the console tide this time around.

If one was doing  3 monitor 1080p in surround maybe they could boast but as is i dont see anyone giving a shit appart from people looking to nitpick.

Because xbox had much less games than PS2, so yeah, even if everyone knew xbox was technically better, it didnt matter, PS2 was better.

Now, we have the most powerful console $100 cheaper with sony first party support and japan support ( so more games coming on PS4 )
