Never said Zelda would be there. Retro is the closest to America. Donkey Kong will come out in two months. It made sense yet people choose to ignore logic and go into the hype.

Ignore logic? DIdn't Nintendo admit they almost showed Zelda U at E3 and NYC Comic Con. Don't get why people shouldn't have been optimistic.

Remember the producer said we will see it at E3. He already stated when it will be shown. Why would it be shown?

Pretty sure that was before Aonuma said they might show it at Comic Con.

He will talk more about it at E3, but never said it wont be shown before it, just like ALBW.
I hope to see at least a teaser before, then a real blowout at E3. They cannot waste more time and miss more oportunities.

So everyone forgot about Nintendo Directs' monthly frequency so suddenly, or is everyone too busy being disappointed over nothing? Actually, don't answer, I know the answer.

Then again, you lot are the ones who enjoyed that Smosh skit from earlier.

Whatever, enough trying to convey logic into this subject for now. The day ANY of you actually stop having such high expectations versus fact-backing expectation is the day the sky rains lava...

People actually watch these?   Last I checked nobody spoke english on those.

uhhh yeah,  have you not been a part of this site long?  All the Nintendo fans I know watch it.

You simply don't get it...Nintendo simply didn;t even know the audience at the VGA's...  Why would they even show up if that's all they ahd to show, knowing the audience at VGA's was not the right place for it? Nintendo is making a lot of bizarre decisions.

I hated that skit.

And plus, there were logical hints to lead us to believe Zelda might be the announcment. Reggie wearing tons of Zelda clothes recently, Geoff retweeting a picture of the mastersword, Anouma wanting to announce the game at E3 and Comic-Con and then suddenly Reggie has an announcement to make at VGX.

So you lot forgot Link Between Worlds came out weeks ago? That was a thing, and it's a really great thing. Let me know when you get around to it.

Also, Aonuma stated he can talk about the Wii U Zelda at E3: http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/10/15/zelda-wii-u-info-coming-at-e3-2014 Why would he do so earlier than expected?

Also, I think I said fact-backing expectation versus high ones (especially when said high ones are being backed up by such miniscule evidence), so here's my example of fact-backing expectation:

http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2013/12/06/game-informer-partnering-with-vgx-for-live-stream.aspx

(Then again, VG Chartz users have a history of arguing against a direct source so I won't be surprised if you find this example not to your liking.... who am I kidding? Calling it now.)

It was sources similar to these that let me settle my expectations, especially since once again, despite this site's users hating/ridiculing/pissing on them, Nintendo Directs are to be expected monthly.

I feel there is way to many 2d platformers right now. I have like no interest at all in DKCRTF. DKCR was not "long ago".

I would have liked a DK64 2 but with a bit more polish. Or just remake that N64 game and remove some of the collecting aspects.

Most platformers other than Mario are boring because you basically just jump. Mario hast that fresh feeling because of the power ups and that special level design (NSMB somwhat lacks that level design tho).

Man I miss the old days with SMW upwards kick. Doors in SMB3 or several "levels" of platforms in a stage (hidden platform in the clouds you wont see unless you try to go there) NSMB shows almost everything that exsits so there is no need to explore...

I am somwhat sorry for retro. I know it helps them get used to the system and its a game thats not that expensive to make  (get a mediocre userbase with "easy to make games" and then put out the blockbusters when you have enough potential buyers) but its still some kind of waste imho.
They should have made their own IP.

You're playing with semantics. Problem with semantics is that you can't get mad if you misunderstood because it was you who created it.

I never read that the next zelda handheld would be shown at E3 before than shown before E3. Can you quote him doing that?

That's not how this works or what I mean. ALBW was shown and announced before E3 but he didn't said anything. Nothing about story, gameplay or dungeons, just a trailer. Then during E3 and after he talk more about it.

This could be the same. If they are planing a traditional conference for this year, then yeso it most likely will be show there. But if it's another E3Direct, there's no point in waiting.
