The Last of Us and Ni no Kuni = my games of the generation.

Take your mainstream blockbuster bro game crap and shove it.

It was so unbelievably obvious. The top 5 games all deserved to win though. My personal GOTY is the last of us. But Mario, Bioshock and Tomb Raider were all good choices

Ni No Kuni is 2011.  Even 2010 if you include the DS version.

VGX is a US show. Ni No Kuni was 2013.

Just cause the US got it late doesn't make it a 2013 game.   Its still a 2011 game no matter how you look at it (2010 if you include the DS version).

This honestly even worth arguing about. You continue to believe it is a 2011 game because it was out in Japan while i'll continue to believe for the entire world outside of Japan that speak languages other than Japanese it is a 2013 title.

I'm pretty sure it would have had a better chance of winning something in 2011.  Only played the demo but even when I play the full game I doubt I would rank it above Forza 4 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record from that year.

So did GTA V win GOTY? I think it was by far the best game nominated.

Aldro GTA V WON!! I agreed with you when you said Uncharted 2 was GOTY (At time it was my favourite game) and agreed with you when you said Uncharted 3 was GOTY (Also my favourite game of all time) When you said TLOU was the best game ever I also agreed with you then but then GTA V came out...I'm sorry Aldro but Rockstar is now my favourite devolper and GTA V is my favourite game of all time...TLOU is in a strong second though!
