I've already been lured into ps+ over a year ago with great deals. But yeah it still kinda sucks, I know I won't be able to convince some friends to get ps+ so there will be no racing against them anymore on ps4.
Not so bad after all that GT6 is a ps3 game, still free to play online. And Grid 2 just came available for "unlimited rental at no extra charge until end of subscription" Great times for racing.
It's because it was inevitable, everyone knew it was coming. Sony doesn't have the resources Microsoft has, and a lot of MS's profit came from Live. If you want to blame anyone, blame the people who have no problem paying for online multiplayer. They've made it the norm.

yeah it sucks now bought ps+ on BF for $30 will activate it next year maybe sony will do there deal again offering a extra 3 months if 1 yr is activated within a certain time
noones complaining b/c theres no alternative other than wiiu and PC, now there complaining about resolutions b/c PS4 offers a better alternative
also psn plus is still cheaper than live aswell as offering discounts and free games

Gotta call bullshit on that one. There are obvious differences between LIVE that people bitched about from 2006-2013 and PSN+. Double standards is only an excuse for those who ignore this simple fact.
Last gen you had people bitching about LIVE, which was $50-$60/year (Spare me the "I find deals") and you got online play, that's it. Yes, you can say Netlix, Last.FM, etc... but those are only added to give the appearance of value. They were free everywhere else.
Now you pay for PSN+ and you get online and free games monthly that always outweight the price of the service. This service also covers your PS3 and Vita consoles, if you have them. So in my case I have (15) free games on PS3, quite a few (I think like 7-8) free games on Vita and free games on PS4, all for (1) payment of $50/year and the games available changes monthly.
Don't act like the services are the same. They clearly are not.

I agree 100% with this.
Same goes for microtransactions. Keep acting like it is a non-issue and watch things get worse.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned. Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon! |
