for boasting about its meta review score, this thread keeps swapping and changing the thread title but note how it has not been titled best selling racing sim franchise.

one has good reviews while the other has great sales it's a win for both franchises.

The sales of games matter a lot more, the consumers objectively define the success of a game by purchasing the games. There have been some AAA games that have struggled to break 1 million sales this generation. AA games: multi-platform and exclusive games have been up there as some of the biggest sellers of this generation. Gran Turismo with its popularity and brand recognition once again outsold Forza series this generation like it did last generation. Some games get rewarded 9's when they barely deserved 7's and 8's, the review score rarely reflects the critical analysis of the game.

The critics have become so very jaded...

I don't think GT fans will agree GT6 is the worst of the series either.
