Wait wait wait...why would a low selling JRPG be announced at a severely Americanized big name award show?

You sure about that? It sold better in the West than it did in Japan.

Considering the number of players from both countries I surely hope it did.

both countries?

Japan and US?

lets hope its true!, this new generation needs more JRPG love than the last one. :D

But that doesn't happen all the time. Tales games do 3-5x the numbers they do in the States. DQ does more in Japan than here. There are plenty of examples showing that.

Ok, but does that mean that Ni no Kuni is a big American game for a big Americanized award show? No

Great I hope people don't start over-hyping this like they did the first game. First game was good but nothing special.

Have to agree with this one.  While I might have enjoyed the first game, it was not even my favorite JRPG of this year let alone of the generation.

I would get the second one tho, no question about that.

I hope it will be better than the first.

Presentation ? Outstanding, A+, 10/10

The rest ? Meh...

Not always relevant.........Many Jrpg;s sell more in japan.

This thread is way too serious. Game isn't even that good.

That isn't my point. My point is why would Sony use one of their big announcements at VGX for a JRPG that is far from a system seller? It'll end up being another Gamescom, using a big stage for small announcements.
