Story of the generation sure, but gameplay was average and full of immersion breakers.

I'd honestly pick Wii Sports as game of the last generation. Not the deepest game by any means, but the sensation that it was and the sheer number of people who I'd never imagine playing a game with getting together made for many fun gaming sessions.
