Why? What is Nintendo going to do? Forbid them from making games for the Wii U? Not sure how that would play out as a bargaining chip. |
its not like JD4 is doing gangbusters on WIi U anyway, or any of Ubis games really.

please, the game is on track to sell even worst than last years version on WIi which itself sold even less than the original JD game. What did the casuals buy for the rest of the year? Dead might not be the term but it shrank for sure.

For the rest of the year they bought Skylanders and Disney Infinity. Casual gamers by their nature don't buy games as frequently as we do.

those arent exactly doing gangbusters either. But you are right, which IMHO its such a hard market. Core gamers buy games all year round and in greater variety.

All I'm saying is, the casual gamers haven't all up and evaporated. (or migrated) Casual games can still do well on consoles.

Theres alot of games out there that are not doing as well of their earlier releases. Battlefield, Batman, even COD. People are getting burned out of the same stuff being released over and over.

yeah thats true across the board no matter what the genre, BUT and its a big BUT, its looks crazier with something like JD (and COD) that is used to putting up big numbers and over time it goes down until it just vanishes. I might be calling it too soon, but reminds me of Guitar Hero, within one gen they just flat out stopped making the games anymore.

I'm with you on that one. In 5-7 years unless Activision starts putting out some new quality stuff they are in deep trouble. They already killed Guitar Hero and after looking at the COD Ghosts sales, they are killing that too. Skylanders is a cool fad but that no doubt will wear off too.
Because 100 million people own a Wii. And probably around 20-40% of that bought it purely for dance games.

Considering that the highest selling Just Dance on Wii sold 9.75 million I really dount that it is 40 percent but I get the point. I remember having DDR on my PS1 and 2 back in the day and that was when Video Game dancing was for nerds.
