i want something more substantial than "wait until x,y, and z games come out and you'll see then"

at the least, predict that game A will sell x # of extra consoles, game B will sell y # of extra consoles, etc...something other than "wait for games"...btw, how many more AAA exclusives is ps3 getting than 360 this year?

I thought this was obvious to everyone. Barring some kind of seismic shift in the market, the PS3 will never even come close to the 360 in America. The gap is gigantic, and growing larger every week. We've all seen how slowly the Wii has been catching up to the 360 in America, even though it outsells the 360 there on a weekly basis. Unless PS3 sales magically double or triple in America, or the 360 simply stops selling completely, it's not going to happen.

Worldwide sales look much better for the PS3, although there's no guarantee it will pass the 360 there either.

The PS3 will have sold more lifetime in the Americas, once the deceiding factor isnt just Halo and pricing, but console features, AAA titles, and console reliability.

The PS3 will begin to outsell the 360 WW weekly by then of this year and be within 1,000,000 by next fall. 7,000,000 out of a potential 40,000,000 users. As the PS3 rises, the 360 doesn't maintain momentum. It falls off. And if Gears 2 isnt better than Resistance 2, the shooter crowd will pick the PS3 over the 360. If things continue as they are now with minor price drops, the PS3 is going to put the 360 right back where the original left off.

By years end the PS3 could have the best titles in the RPG, shooter, adventure, racing, and fighting games, with PSN rivaling XBL, and the best game of the year (sales wise) also being on the PS3 (GTA). All this plus blu-ray, with a free and simple online interface.

The 360 won't last unless they have something huge we dont know about.

When almost ALL these games are out + 299$ price. Then.

ok, so when 90% of those games are out and the ps3 is $299 or less for the entry sku, then ps3 will start outselling the 360 in the US?

do u have a date for when u think 90% of those will be out? are they all 2008 releases?

This is a huge issue people are negating to look at. As well as the PS3 has done in Japan and Other it has still failed to penetrate the US market and overtake the 360 and Wii. The US market has 24 million consoles sold. While the others and Japan combined only have 24 million sold. So the Americas has 50% of the market share right now. The 360 has about 44% market share in the Americas while the Wii has 42% the PS3 has a 14% market share in the Americas. It's a huge deficit that will take years to offset. Especially since it's the Wii that still has the momentum.
