I'll agree he losses his revenge killing-ness of regular Alakazam but Mega Alakazam is a great late game sweeper.

Alakazam is viable with a focus sash, mega alakazam can't have that. 

He is greatlate game sweeper, but a lot of other pokemon do his job better. Many sweepers such as pinsir, kangashkhan, scizor and others can take hits as well having priority moves.

Out of all the megas he is probably the worst one.

Mega Alakazam is still very workable, shitmons are terribad at nearly everything.

Oh, I thought you just meant Alakazam in general. I'm still relatively clueless on the metagame for Megas so I have no opinion there.

Loved the Alakazam debate lol. As a Alakazam user and my favorite pokemon.....i'm going to say this now:

Mega Alakazam is a waste. Many pokemon with a choice scarf will wreck it. You lose the peace of mind with Focus Sash and you also lose the magic guard ability.

And to top it off, it looks less badass
