So I have, like many people on here, for months been of the opinion that both MS and Sony will sell every console they manage to manufacture and put in stores this christmas. But since the Xbox Launch in Europe I have been starting to doubt that, even at the evening of the launch day it was easy to go pick up an X1 at a store in my city. But the following monday there were no X1s to be found there so I didn't pay it much attention anymore. Today though I went to take a look again and took this photo (it's a bit blurry, I know):

Should it really be that easy to walk into a store and buy a X1 at this point? I know this is just anecdotal but I'm really starting to believe that the X1 will not sell as much in Europe as MS could provide.

there is no confirmation for supply issues for any of the consols. just rumors. 

It is well known there are many x1's in stores in europe. Ms is pretty much done in europe, no chance to ever catch sony there.

I see where you're coming from, obviously demand is much higher for PS4 in Europe. I do think MS will send minimal stock there tho.

Maybe the countless videos/articles showing people queueing/fightning each other to get one?

Anyway, there's no problem to get an Xbone in Paris. I saw lots of them in the 13rd district while looking for a PS4.

Based on everything I've read, I really think MS made sure they had plenty of supply. Until 3-4 months pass, we won't know for sure. Right now, for MS, this is no Xbox 360 launch where they had such limited supply that built up artificial demand.

More of a demand problem than a supply problem. That just broke every record of fw console sales, of course there isn't enough supply for that.

But house confirmed 3 millions sales for 2013, so it's likely they have 3.5 millions shipment planned for this year. It's just not there yet.
