I love this game! A really good platformer. Usually I go for 100% in platformers though (NSMB, SMG 1&2, Ratchet and Clank), but this game was way to hard. I did a few of the golden temples and all of the normal levels, in addition to a lot of the puzzle pieces and the kong letters, but the game had it's time, so I moved on. Still played it for roughly 50 hours though, so it's more than worth the cost.

Me too! I always go to 100% but this game was too hard. I got 100% but not 200%, the mirrored levels where too hard xD

There´s so many great games on the 3DS right now, and more to come, that this particular game will have to wait until I get my year-end extra wages.

Never tried the 3DS version but if it's as good as the Wii game then it's totally worth the purchase. The Wii version seems slightly better though as it has co-op!

I believe the 3DS version has Co-op via Download play.

Really? Then that's pretty awesome too! Then I guess the 3DS version is just as awesome then, maybe even better has it doesn't have the waggle of the Wii mote to roll!

I have finished the Wii and 3DS games and I very much prefer (like 1 point more on a metacritic score) the 3DS version:

- Controls are better, because there are no more wiggle controls. That part is the most important! no more losing lives because of the shitty Wii imprecise controls!

- Graphics really pop in 3D, I found them more sharp and detailed than my DK/Wii on TV where they were too dark.

- There are more levels. And the added levels are surprisingly good and hard.

Overally I have been impressed by this game on the modest 3DS hardware. This game and Luigi's mansion 2 are the 2 most impressive and detailed games on the 3DS.

But I still prefer DKCR, I often go back to the game just for the general good mood and to find new puzzles or finish some mirror levels.

Yeah the wiggle controls made it harder sometimes! Then the 3DS version is totally worth it! I already bet the Wii version though so I have no need for the 3DS version but it seems to be an excellent port!

The 3DS version is 30fps vs 60fps on Wii, also the analog slider on 3DS is not accurate enough compared to the Wii analog stick so, I'd say the Wii version is better.

The wiggle free of the 3DS is greatly superior to the Wii stick. Just to have to push a button to dash is great compared to the imprecise and lagged motion control on Wii.

Being 60fps doesn't automatically make any game better. The controls on the 3DS version and how it responds is for most reviewers and me better on 3DS. Also the wii remote do introduce some input lag even accounting the 60fps treatment.

I have seen pal 25fps (on 50hz tv) footage as smooth (stutter free) as any locked 60fps I have seen on console. What mainly brings 60fps is in fact reduced input lag. And by my watch the DKCR on 3DS has less input lag than on Wii. Maybe it depends on the TV too, but still.

Even If I do agree that sometimes the fps is not as smooth as on the locked fps on Wii, the controls are always responsive in any circumstances.

...I've completed the game up to 190%, am I the one who haven't expereiced control issues? It took me about 2-3 hours to get accostumed to the "waggle", in about 150h of playtime. If you have a lag due to your TV, you just have to set it up, it's not a problem of the game.
