Forums - PC - Humble Bundles have ruined me.

Humble Bundles have ruined me. I say this, because I am now indifferent to steam sales, due to the insane backlog that Humble Bundles have given me. Hell, I have gotten over 50 games from Humble Bundles dirt cheap. Batman Arkham City for 5$ on steam? Pfffft, I got that for 5$ with 8 other games. Crysis 1 and 2 for 7.50? Wow, what a deal! Except there was a humble bundle where it was also 5$ or less, with 6 other games to boot.

I never thought I would say this: But most Steam deals aren't appealing anymore.

Well, I guess it is a good problem to have, though.

They are pretty damn good even though they dont represent as much value as PS+.

They are different things. With PS+ you get the games as long as you pay an annual or monthly fee. With the humble bundles you get a cornucopia of games to own forever without an annual fee (provided steam doesn't die, which I don't think it will). If you go back and look at some of these bundles and how much you can own for 50$, I think you would change your mind.

And as for the PS4 PS+ freebie games, the value is DEFINITELY better, as right now we only have Contrast, Resogun, and a Warframe starter pack. Although, admittedly, they are all great things to have free, and this is the first month.

LOL with PS+ you have to keep paying always to keep those games while with Steam they are yours forever. Clearly much better value o_o

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

I guess youre right.

with PS+ you get what youre given (which is pretty good). but with humble bundle if you dont like it, you dont have to pay for that bundle, so its good to have that option.

Ive only purchased the origin bundle, still cant believe how good that was.

Enjoy the best of both worlds, man. It's a great time to be a gamer in general! Just bought PS+ a couple days ago and instantly downloaded Dragon's Dogma and Shadow of the Colossus. It's like I am literally having games thrown at my general direction, it's crazy.

PS+ costs what, $60 a year?

For $60 a year you could get anywhere from 60-80 games if you spent $6 a pack for everything.
If you only pay $1 for each pack you could get at-least 240 games a year, that you pretty much keep forever.

How many games do you get in a year with PS+?

Don't compare PS+ with Humble Bundle, really don't. I would think it's impossible to find anything remotely close to the value that Humble Bundle offers.

So many great games from there, Alan Wake, Walking Dead, origin bundle, darksiders, company of heroes, saint's row the 3rd, batman games, just to name a few which are mostly available for about $5 for like 5-6 of them. And there are no extra costs to pay to maintain the said games. Just insane value, and one of the main reasons why I started to appreciate PC gaming more + the games on launch seems to have better bundles if you shop around, got Bioshock Infinite on launch day with Civ V, XCOM and Bioshock 2 for £15 cheaper than it would cost on console.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

I have trouble buying games at all now thanks to humble bundles. I keep expecting something good to show up all the time :P

Its pretty rare for a AAA budget developer to put their games on HB.

I usually just buy bundles off of HB for indie games and mainstream non-indie games on Steam sales or Amazon digital PC sales.

THQ(while it was dying) and EA gave it a shot, I bet Bethesda will one day.
