I will NEVER get close to St Efigenia again.

And to be honest, I don´t care and people here shouldn´t care about "the grey market". We are talking about official retailers, marketing and advertising. If you go to any shopping here you will find a lot of Xbox propaganda. Sony on the other hand is pushing their TVs (tied-in with World Cup) even my gym has Sony´s TV propaganda. However in games, if you care, there is only GT6 to be seem.

I´m using your beloved NeoGaf to figure Sony shipments are laking at many markets. And even in USA many users have said there were much more Xbox Ones on the shelves.

I don´t understand why one try to be more otimistic than Sony. If they belive they will ship 3mi this hollydays, they will ship 3mi not much more.

Now gray market sales are not sales anymore.

90% of the Wii, PS3, 360, etc userbase in Brasil is fake.

And I'm the biased guy here.

Hugely disappointed..... I expected 300k!!!!.

Now seriously, huge start for ps4 there and almost confirmed that ps4 sold in all Europe almost a million in the same timeframe. Now we need to see how the stock will be available in the next weeks, because after seeing what is happening in USA....

I was so tempted to get it, but decided against it in the end - there is just no compelling software on either of the next gen consoles that am interested in, maybe Ryse on XB1 but not enough to justify buying it, although I would say that PS4 was severely supply constraint compare to the demand that it has likely experienced, retailers like amazon has stated that any preorders after august won't be there till Christmas, and a lot of supermarkets offered last second first day bundles in the upcoming weeks.

I think personally I will wait till next year - more software and any possible faults to be ironed out before finally picking up either PS4 or XB1. Knack just looks fucking awful, I can grind platformers, even though they're not my liked genre, but that game just looks fucking awful - and one of the main reasons why I didn't pick up PS4 as most of the bundles included it at sub price of £35 - which I would just outright refuse to pay for a game like that, and a sub price of £50 on top of the bundle for KZ too, which looks just as unappealing to me. Will likely pick up a bundle with extra DS controller when it becomes available(along with few games)

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

Awesome news, congrats to Sony and PS4!

Cant wait for Japans sales

Wonder how long Nintendo will keep their franchises exclusive if this continues. Yes financially they could keep going for a long time but you can't justify missing out on selling million of copies for every game forever.

UPDATE :

An industry source has told Eurogamer that life-to-date Wii U sales in the UK are still around the 150,000 mark after a year on sale.

That's around 100,000 less than PlayStation 4 managed in its opening weekend.

Xbox One sales are now up to the 170,000 mark, Eurogamer was told. It was reported last week that Xbox One had notched up around 150,000 units during its launch weekend, suggesting around 20,000 more have been shifted in the last week.

UK numbers company Chart-Track was not able to comment on specific sales figures for PS4 or Xbox One but did confirm that both have now outstripped the Wii U's lifetime sales in the UK.
