Woops, my bad! I read UK rather than US :|

If you read UK then you'd still be wrong. UK is Xbox territory .

WAs, not going to be this gen.

I was referring to your quote of saying 8 million more units in UK. Apparently you think that the UK is all of Europe.

You might want to re-look at the thread, I certainly never said such a thing.

They definitely are. And even going by last gen, Sony outsold Microsoft by about 8million units.

Really?

I repeat, show me the post where I posted that, someone else did not me.

Without knowing the available stock of each console, that chart is meaningless.

My mistake, your response had me assume you were the person that wrote what I responded to

I actually expect the Xbone to be leading in North America for most of this gen. Americans just seem to like Xbox more than PlayStation, whereas Europe tends to be much more PlayStation oriented.

Not me. I'm more of a Nintendo fan & a Playstation fan, & I'm an American.

Awesome! But at large, Americans seem to prefer the 360 over the PS3 but obviously not all Americans. I'm sure there's at least one Japanese person that thinks the 360 and Xbone are the dog's bollocks but they're few and far between as far as sales figures show.

Kinda like how americans prefered the PS2 over the Xbox?

They definitely did. But that was a very different market from the one we lived in last gen and the one we currently live in :)

I think the PS4 will do well initially in the US but it's legs will be shorter than the X1. The X1 will have surpassed the PS4 in the US this time next year if not earlier.

My opinion exactly. I don't see how the combined might of Titanfall, Halo 5, and Quantum Break aren't going to sell enough Xbox One's to retake the number 1 spot in the US by the end of next year.

I doubt it.  Titanfall and Quantum Break will not be system sellers.  There is no indication Halo 5 will even be ready in 2014.

Just sayin, PS4 is on par with Xbox and has only been released in the US. Wish I could say the same for Xbone.

The XBone released only a week ago and didn't sell out their initial supply (despite reports from MS saying so, we've seen, even on VGC, that many retailers had stockpiles of XBones available all over after launch. I saw several people post pics from their local Best Buy and such with mountains of XBones). Whereas the PS4 sold out in NA and resupplying has been tough. Of course the XBone sold more on Black Friday. Just based on the fact that they had residuals units from launch plus whatever MS was able to muster up for Black Friday. And PS4s were nowhere to be found after launch.

Move along, nothing to see here

What makes you think that? Titanfall on Xbox One has 104k preorders in the US already with 16 weeks to go, and it's been gaining at a steady 10k+ the last few weeks. If it maintains a steady 10k every week until release, that would put it at 260k preorders, but everyone knows that preorders ramp up the last few weeks before release, so it could easily hit 400k preorders in the US, which would likely lead to around 500k in sales week one. Globally that should probably put week one around 700-800k, leading to lifetime sales around 4 million units, well within system seller territory.

As for Quantum Break, it's outcome is less certain, but gameplay is about to be shown at VGX on December 7th, and I won't be suprised at all if hype goes through the roof after it's shown, based on how good the gameplay looked in the small teaser that we got at the Xbox One launch party. It may not be as big a system seller as Ttianfall and Halo 5 are, but I still expect good things.

Halo 5 could get delayed until 2015, but so far they've given us a release window of 2014, which is why I included it. We all know that a new Halo will sell at least 6-7 million units, which makes it a system seller in my book.

Infamous has the same number of pre-orders, and titan fall is on 360 and pc.....Not going to be much of a system seller with destiny lurking.

xbox360 for $179? Was it a bundle?

We had it for $129. :S
