For Wii U year-to-date, I guess it already happened today with PS4 launch in Europe.
For life-to-date, I think around March at the earliest but could take longer if Nintendo has good holiday sales.

Now I'll admit the PS4/Xbox Ones sales are impressive but there is going to be a massive drop in four weeks. The real demand isn't what first week sales make it out to be. I suspect the Wii U will hold its lead until November 2014.

Hopefuly they will be passed soon, then MS and Sony fans can commence the circle jerk and hopefully shut up about this
Sony will pass it by March, Microsoft by April.

Really? Just because Wii U didn't have any worthwile games from January to September this year does not mean that the PS4 and X1 won't. The demand is too high and the system sellers are coming. November 2014 is a ridiculous expectation.
The sooner the better. Hopefully by the end of 2014.
