Looks like the Xbox still managed to pull off a better launch than the PS4 despite having a higher price and all the backlash with used games and required internet connections.

With Ps4 europe number ps4 should nearly sold 2 time more then Xbox one.

Highly doubt it. They won't have a million shipped to Europe. 7-800,000 at most.

That would still be nearly two times more like he said.

It would be 2 million plus whatever they have here in the US. So you don't think Xbox One will sell anything this week? Xbox One should sell another 300-400,000 for black friday. That would put Xbox One at 1.5-1.6 million and PS4 at 2.4-2.5. Thats a 1.6 : 1 ratio. I still think I'm low and we will be surprised by how many units MS has available for black friday.

PS4 beats One on Microsoft's (ex) territory as expected. Europe will be full PlayStation...
Next week gonna be very great.

We have a  long generation ahead of us. If MS drops the price to match Sony early next year then Xbox One will be leading in US sales by end of 2014 with Titanfall and Halo providing the boost. If MS keeps the price at $499 then PS4 will still be ahead in US.

Disagree, this is not last gen... Xbox having a 1 year head start and price advantage all last gen was a major reason Xbox had such a lead in ther US... Won't be near as easy this time even if MS drops the price by 50 next year. Xbox also had a majoe game advantage first 2 year with Oblivion, Bioshock, Mass Effect and numerous other BIG  third party games being only on xbox. They dont have any of that advanatge and Sony will have usually better multiplats..

I talk only about first week sale.

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

360 dominated PS3 in the US. It would take over 20% of 360 owners to jump ship just for PS4 to tie in the US. Its not going to happen. This gen it will be much closer but Xbox One will win the US. So Titanfall and Halo are not an advantage for US? I strongly disagree.

Since you are so fond of "proof", where's your proof that people AREN'T buying digital for this reason?

I have no opinion regarding your argument with Panicnausia, but what you said here is an abomination to critical thinking.

You can't prove a negative, and the burden of proof always lies with the person making the claim, not the person challenging it. You make the claim that something is "the reason for people buying digital", then YOU are the one tasked with backing it up. You don't get to go "prove me wrong" and conclude that you won when people can't prove the negative.

I know you are right and all as I've heard this being presented a million times in the forums so no argument there.

I suppose I got sucked into a lower form of bickering with what seems like a trollish alt. account. I don't feel like my original post was stating anything profound as it seems pretty obvious to me from what I've been reading online that people are really liking the game swapping feature on the One, which is digi only.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

You can disagree what you want. All I see is that PS4 sold better than One in US, the best Xbox's market one generation ago. And that's not a fanboy prediction, it's numbers..

Now it seems that UK is doing the same thing. PS4 got every market on the pocket.

Because Sony only shipped in NA first week.  If MS strictly shipped in only NA instead of 13 countries they would have sold the same amount.

So, looking at Wii U sales growth, it's certainly interesting. The Wii U has gone from 63,625 units in the week of the 9th, to 111,046 units in the week of the 23rd.

For comparison, the Xbox 360 went from 113,129 units to 116,724 units, and the PS3 went from 191,791 units to 201,920 units. So while the 360 increased by about 3.2% in two weeks, and the PS3 increased by about 5.3% in two weeks, the Wii U increased its weekly sales by 74.5% in the same period (a 21% increase over the first week, and a 43.8% increase over the second week).

Much of this difference can be attributed to the US, where Wii U sales increased by 109% in the two weeks. In Europe the increase was almost identical to the global increase, at 74.9%, while Japan saw an increase of 27.5% over those two weeks.

Also interesting is that the European increase cannot be attributed to Super Mario 3D World, which hasn't released within the period covered by the data (whereas the larger US boost might be partly due to that game). This makes the next week of data particularly interesting, as we should see an extra boost in Europe.
