In another genre, you can't say Age of empire has less strategy than civilization. That's just different. There is even strategy in COD (read an amazing article comparing startegy in FFVI against CODMW2). |
Well yeah but it has nothing to do with real time strategy games. Kingdom Hearts is an action RPG, kinda more like a hack and slash. My complaint is with the second game mostly, where you could win the game by pressing the X button and activating the reaction commands. Sure you had to be fast and have timing but I felt no challenge from it.
I am not dissmising entire games, just Kingdom Hearts! Call of Duty certainly has it's strategy and Age of Empires is obviously a very complicated game with lots of strategy. I don't play many RTS games though but I played enough to know they are complicated and full of strategy.
My problem is that FF XV is using the same battle system as KH. And KH is a game that I never felt I had to use "strategy" or best decisions. They only thing there was to the game was pressing the X button and activating the reaction commands. The summons and magic spells where usless (except for Cure of course). I hope it isn't anything like that game, or that if it uses the same combat, that they refine it and make it better.
