A lot is being said every day about the demise of Nintendo, nobody can predict the future but what we do know is that Nintendo "won" the last generation with Wii by about 20 million units and currently have outsold the Vita with 3DS 4:1 with the DS smashing the PSP before that.
I agree that it looks very likely that Xbone/PS4 will sell better than Wii U in this generation but talk of Nintendo going 3rd party is embarrassing. They have sooooooo much cash they are well poised for whatever the future brings. Nintendo take risks, some work better than others but you cannot deny they are innovators. I have just bought a PS4 and Killzone and the game sucks. I know PS4 will be a great console with quality titles but the actual hardware is basically a PS3 with better graphics and I can't help but feel a little disappointed in that. With sequel after sequel being the best selling games of this era we need all the innovation we can get.

Gamecube was an excellent System had 4 player support the PS2 had not. Had good graphics good games and was not plagued with mainstreamers as todays consoles are so YES I AM READY!

Well, it won't made Nintendo go out of the console race. Just that for now the blue ocean strategy doesn'ty work, so let's back to Nintendo franchises for this time. Nothing wrong with it, just that looks like we won't see another Wii Sports anytime soon.

I hope that they stay in the console race, but damn the Wii U was a terrible misfire. They came on top the last gen and threw all that to make the Wii U :/. I don't mind nintendo coming last though, as long as we get games and the system isn't discontinued I will be a happy gamer xD.

Well, next year looks like GameCube 2. We know about announced projects that are Nintendo franchises, with the exception of Bayonetta, but it is a third party excluisve like REmake. Nothing about a Wii Sports esque game.

yes.. I´m ready for the GC II. Gamecube had an awesome library of games. Animal Crossing, Metroid Prime, F-Zero GX, 1080 Avalanche, Resident Evil 4, Zelda Twilight Princess, Eternal Darkness, Tales of Symphonia, Pikmin 2 etc etc etc etc etc etc etcetera. If WiiU can mimic that library, I´ll have lots and lots of great games to enjoy

The cost-effectiveness of the new bundles was very good, and the week they came out, Wii U sold 40000 units in Japan. But there hasn't been an official price cut in Japan, right?

Obviously, that is what Nintendo needs to do next, even if it would hurt them financially. Not everyone wants to play Wii Party U.
I can see the Wii U consistently sell 25k per week with the game library it has right now. I bet SM3DW sales would climb back to the FW sales after a pricecut.

Just take a look at 3DS sales all over the world. Nobody is able to convince me of that "Nintendo is irrelevant" shit. Especially in Japan there is a wide audience of people worshiping Nintendo and their products.

I actually liked the GC it was my first Nintendo home console.
