I'm guessing you've never used Wii Fit. Games are part of it's package.

Bitch please we all know metacritic is the key to the universe in game rating!

Why's that? I'm bummed (and confused) that they took out some excercises like Rhythm Parade and Circus juggling, but other than that, it's pretty much better in every way. They've added new modes to most games, and the balance excercises are a bit more active. Rowing crew and trampoline target are particularly fun and actually a decent workout. Moreover, the off screen play is a huge feature for me. Being able to burn a few calories while I'm watching TV is a big deal. |
The key feature to me is routines. In Plus they flow readily from exercise to exercise so quickly I don't even mind having to stack crunches several times in a row. I just take a few seconds off and go back to crunching.
In Fit U, they interject data and dialogue between exercises and make you find a controller to progress to the next exercise. Flow broken. All the extra graphs, Fit Meter tracking, and social features add no value to me.
Also the new trainer models are slipping into the uncanny valley.

Wii Fit is very bit as much a game as Knack or Ryse.
